  1. Thank you so much for the advice. To XanthusARES, you may be right about the undergrad GPA, however, I am going to remain hopeful. I definitely need to focus on the getting a strong GRE score to circumvent the low GPA. Again, thank you all for the advice. Please keep it coming.
  2. Greetings, I would truly appreciate some honest feedback regarding my chances of begin admitted to a good Organizational Behavior or Management and Organizations PhD program. Currently, I am 38 years old and an administrator at a tier one research university. My undergrad degree is in English and my graduate degree is in Educational Policy Studies. My work has consisted of designing academic programs that focus on leadership, organizational change, organizational learning and diversity. While I do not have strong research experience working under a professor as a TA or RA, the majority of my research was developed in my graduate coursework. My undergrad GPA was a 2.3 (not the strongest) while my graduate GPA was a 3.65. Provided I am admitted to a business PhD program, I will be 40 when I enter the program and provided there are no interruptions and everything goes as planned, I will be 45 when I receive doctorate. My research interest lie in the following areas: diversity, cultural differences, entrepreneurship, stereotypes, sports, organizational learning and organizational change. I have taken the GRE, however, I will say that my scores were not the best, but they were not the worst. My goal is to not only teach, but conduct research and develop a leadership institute that focuses on training principals, corporate executives and former athletes in developing sound leadership skills and entrepreneurial ventures. Please let me know your thoughts and be brutally honest, not to the point it's insulting, but if you feel this PhD program in OB and MO is not the route for me, please make some recommendations. I would love the career advice.
