hello folks i want to know what is the difference in the math? Can sb provide me the conspect (all the material that is added to the new sat) Can sb also tell me whether its possible to purchase a book for the new SAT BArrons Prep for the NEw SAT from internet , but not via credit card but from a bank account , western union or something ... if sb can help please its extremely important thank you in advance

hi there i`m preparing for sat on 22 january and its a nightmare... The math is a saunter but the english... pfffff its just a abyss which has no end. The Critical Reading is the zenith of the test... Its the worst part. I`m not so good in literature in my own language but i`ll think i`ll make it . in my opinion the idea for the test is good... to know the abc of maths .. and what xyz of english? There are words (most of words) will never be in use of one taking the test. So why should one bother to study them ... you know why? I`m sure you know why... I think it would be better if you can go trough the sections after you`ve finished the section i mean if you do the maths in 15 minutes to be possible to go to the verbal section where you`ll have extra time. That makes more sense...but just a voice in the desert, this will never happen:} and last but not least i think that i start to worry about the exam couse i have only 8 days wish me luck Ciao!

Hello I`m sorry but i don`t have the time I have SAT on 22 January... And its quite impossible couse all my files and matherials for : TOEFL , SAT , GRE and GMAT are about 1 gb ... (I don`t add all the CD`s I HAve ) where should i put so much information ... I don`t have much time for ripping information etc. After i pass my exam i`ll probably do this . For now this is the best you can get from me ;] Regards Mike

hi pintudao Well I don`t know much about ACT couse 1st - There is no ACT in my country what i know 2cond is that some universities require Either ACT or SAT and some do require only ACT instead of SAT , there was a post describing what ACT possesses i mean that the English part is easier , but there is science section or something like that. THis is what i know i really can`t help you with ACT

I think judging from your TOEFL abilities , no offence but I think you`ll need at least 6 months . I `m preparing for SAT as well , and what you need is WORDS WORDS WORDS .... I`ve bought BArron`s How to prepare for the SAT I Princleton Review - Cracking the SAT 2004 ( I`ll take SAT 22 Jan) 10 Real SATs 3rd Edition first you have to improve your grammer in TOEFL , couse in SAT there are 5 choices A B C D E , E is always no error . THen critical reading , As I`ve written in a previous post , read books ... Thats the key to critical reading.- at least i do think so - ;] Are you good at maths , its easy but sometimes you have to understand the question right . If you are preparing for TOEFL prepare for TOEFL , you`ll need 1 month for TOEFL - one month full of hard work . Don`t underestimate the fatigue, don`t overdo , couse on the next day you`ll have headache and you won`t be able to learn anything. Yes, IMHO , the new SAT will be much tougher than the previous one , you`ll have to write an essay , the maths becomes harder thats it as for the verbal (in the old SAT ) There are 3500 words in the BArron`s if you are preparing start learning them now !!!
