thank you so much YaSvoboden.. having studied stats and quants since undergrad (computer science engineering), all my stats grades have been above average except during that MBA semester. I have strong grades in econometrics, finance and accounting as well. Also, stats in MR is good on the marksheet. Just that first sem stat got blown away :( My present work assignment is into data science where I use a lot of stat, and I've also assisted a quant prof in a case while at school. Nevertheless, I am more than willing to offset the damage by taking some stats classes. Can you please suggest me any good stat classes online which I can show with my SOP? thanks!

hello urchins.. need your help. with regard to under grad and graduate GPAs, I have pretty good scores throughout high school and grad. I have a grad GPA of 3.8 having graduated top 10% of the class (an AACSB accredited masters, with good research profs in school and school having record of sending scholars to good programs). however, in my first semester, I had failed statistics owing to certain health issues. my prof did not give me a remedial, nevertheless, I had managed to offset every other subject in that semester and all the subsequent semesters which helped me pull off my overall GPA. however, would like to know with all other parameters in place, how big a damage can the fail grade cause? (even if the overall GPA is ok). thanks!
