Letters of Recommendation: One fairly well known who I worked for over summer, one fairly well known who I do research assistant stuff for, one not well known who knows me very well (was my honours supervisor)
Research Experience: Summer internship at a non profit economics research organisation, honours dissertation research, RA for this year. Am co-author on a paper which should be published soonish in good journal.
Teaching Experience: Only tutoring
Research Interests: Microeconomics, theory
Concerns:Average GRE verbal and AWA. No teaching experience.
Other: I got an award for being top of my year twice, a bunch of top of class awards for my econ classes, and got an award for being the top undergraduate at my uni.
I have a few questions:
1) Do you think I should resit GRE to get a better verbal and AWA? I know that they are not weighted as highly as the quantitative, but am a bit worried that it doesn't send a good signal.
2) What tier of universities should I apply to? I would prefer the top ones, obviously, but would I have a chance?
Thanks heaps!
