  1. I'm considering withdrawing from my mathematical economics class this semester--I'm currently taking real analysis, topology, and some advanced economics/statistics classes while working on research, and I think I've bitten off more than I can chew. If I can retake this class next semester (or take a similar mathematical economics class next semester) and get a good grade, how much would that mitigate the W on my transcript?
  2. If you do well at a highly regarded master's program, how much do undergraduate grades factor into the admission committee's decision?
  3. Thanks for the replies. From what I understand, at my university you can only repeat a course if you get a D or below, so I'm not sure if I can repeat the course at my university but I'll look into it. As a follow-up question, if you do well at a highly regarded master's program, how much do undergraduate grades factor into the admission committee's decision? I come from a Top 50 university, with mostly A's in my math and economics courses.
  4. I'm curious about which classes can to taken to show econ admission committees I am well-versed in multivariate calculus after a poor grade in multivariate calculus. I know the importance of real analysis type courses for graduate school, but which courses in particular would help to show my calculus 3 ability?
