Hello all I have got admission in MSU (Michigan State Uni), UIC and GMU for fall 2006 MS CS. Can any one please compare these uni 1. Funding scenario. 2. Studies and job prospects I have heard the funding scene is quite good at UIC but I haven't been able to get information about funding scene at MSU. Does any one have information about funding scene at MSU. And what do you guys think which is the best pick among these keeping in respect both funding (which is very important) and overall reputation and prospects after graduation both in education circle and job market. Thanks

Got admit from MSU for MS CS but w/o finding so wont be much useful. Any one has any info about funding at MSU? By the way I was notified by snail main and they didn't sent any email about it. The mail was sent on 14th March.

Not rejected from OSU yet. Actaully haven't received admit/Reject decision from 7/8 Universities i have applied. I think the late decision generally means rejection or no aid, in both cases my admission quest will end in complete disaster. Just received this reply from UMN: "We have not yet completed our review of all master's applicants but hope to finish within the next couple weeks. Hello Shoaib I have applied to OSU for MS and facing the similar situation as yours. Is there any progress on your application and did you call OSU for your status?

Sorry to hear about your rejection yasseramin and wish you good luck for Iowa inshallah you will get there. I have also applied to UIC (MS CS) but my application is still incomplete its been 20 days since my packet reached university. How much time did the university took to mark you application complete after they received your material? Faisal

Just receive my analytical score and got a pathatic 4 :mad::yuck::crazy:, so my profile finally become GRE (670V, 760Q, 4.0) TOEFL 287 GPA 3.79/4.0 RESEARCH: NIL Subject GRE: Not taken Major: Computer Science Applied to MSU, Minnesota Twin Cities, Texasa-A&M, Ohio State, RPI, UIC Most of the universities i applied to require a 4.5 analytical score will my application be considered or they will just reject it based on my loooooooooooow analytical score. I was counting on UIC but i think i have made mistake in university selection. What do you guys think? Faisal

Hello The financial affidavit form contains a field called "List US Social Security Number or University of Michigan Application number", Will i get the application number after subitting my application? Faisal

Is this information correct about U Florida Gainesville what information you people have a U Florida Gainesville. I was about to apply here. 47)University of Florida-Gainesville NO funds at all!!!I herd they have so less funds that they asked some guy in India to whom they had given an admit to post some rejection letters for them :)..Aid is a major problem.But,the Tuition fee is low and Florida is a great place to live in ..Good CS dept. and is a safe admit usually. 2000+GRE and 75% should be enough. Waiting for reply

Thanks manwiththemission2005 Are UIC and GMU safe or not. Please suggest some safe universities. I am also thinking about applying to following universities, please comment on them also. Purdue Ohio State university Rice university University of South California Although i have sent GRE score to UT-Austin, but i dont think i have much chances there. Therefore i am thinking about not applying there. What do you think. Thanks

V:670(:):)) Q:760 (:):(:):() For verbal Barrons and ETS stuff are enough and for qant ETS stuff along with test magic are enough. I have usually been a passive member of this forum, but Testing magic has been a great help. Thanks TestMagicians. Verbal was very much like Big Book and PP and I wont say quant was very difficult, if you can pace yourself and don't commit unfored mistakes and have a good nights sleep then you can get a good score. And pls suggest some universities. I am having the same problems I am also from Pakistan. "The Value cannot be a null" is probably because the site is having problems. But the first probelem is chronic. A friend of mine registerd successfully through a DSL connection after failing to register from DialUp connections. So if you have access to DSL some where register from there.
