Thank you for reading this thread. I'm just wondering with my profile, can I get into any good masters program with good money in Econ/Operations Researchs/Stats in the US? I don't plan to do a PhD, I want to work in data analytics in industry.
Background: I'm an international F1 student, getting an entry level job in the US can be hard, I don't want to be kicked back to my country, and can't afford the pricey Master in Data Science degrees.
Profile: junior at top 15 LAC, studying abroad at a well-known European School, math & econ major, comp sci minor.
Overall GPA: 3.83. Econ GPA: 3.92. Math GPA: 3.95.
Courses:
Undergrad level: Intermediate Micro (A), Intermediate Macro (A), Metrics (A-), Real Analysis (A), Linear Algebra (A), Calc III (A), Probability (currently taking), Programming (currently taking). Will take Math Stats and do a thesis senior year.
Grad level: Development Econ (A-), Advanced Metrics (currently taking)
Other courses include comp sci, languages, a few humanities/political science, and finance.
Are there any US programs with good money and good opportunities for data science/analytics/finance? Can grad school be an option at all? Or do I have to either get an entry level job or go home?
Thank you so much.
