  1. Hi, I am just wondering the likelihood of me being accepted into the LSE MSc Mathematical Economics and Econometrics programme. I have a BSc (low-to-mid 2:1) and MSc in Econometrics & Econ (Distinction) from a top 10 university in the UK. I have also done some short spurts as a research assistant.
  2. Thanks. The Maths in my university was integrated within my modules and so I didn't do any exclusively maths modules, where as I believe that in the US this is much more common. An approximation of what I know would be (I guess fairly elementary in comparison to Maths I've seen contained within undergraduate degrees) single/multi variable calculus,probability/statistics, and linear algebra. However, before attempting either of these courses, I'd brush up a lot.
  3. Hi, I have an BSc and an MSc from a top 10 university in the UK. I am interested in applying for a PhD in the US but want to supplement my Mathematics before applying while working for a couple years. I am limited in my funds and so have only really two options available that are distance-learning and are affordable. 1) London International distance learning programme - Mathematics (Graduate Diploma) | University of London International Programmes 2) Open university postgraduate diploma in Maths - E23 - Postgraduate Diploma in Mathematics - Open University My main research areas are Macroeconomics/Growth Theory. I am just wondering which of the two are the most suitable? Thanks. Apologies if I am breaking any conventions/rules.
