  1. Has anyone ever scored lower on their second test, or is it just me? Has anyone ever improved the third time around, or are the first and second tests pretty much indicative of what the third score will be? Please share your experiences!
  2. Wait, how did you spend 11 weeks studying, if you took the test 4 days later?
  3. Spiderman, why can't I have your brain?
  4. I just took my GMATs and got the following question: 2^x*5^y = .002 x=? Does anyone know how in the world to solve this??
  5. Can someone please confirm whether grad schools will ever average your test scores if you take it more than once? Twice? Thank you in advance.

    What happened?!

I just took my GMATs and scored horrendously! My quantitative score improved, but my verbal score dropped, and I mean DROPPED! The weird thing is that I felt confident throughout the section, and actually hoped that my verbal score would be good enough to carry my math score. I got a bold face question as well as a long reading comprehension question. Is there any possible way that the computer could have inaccurately scored my test? What should I do? I don't understand how my score could have dropped so significantly from the first time I took it.
  7. Would someone please explain when one would use "like" vs "as" and also, when would the use of "that" be appropriate? Thanks!
  8. Psyzygy, the explanation is not on the link. That was my other post that no one had responded to, so I decided to type it out (above).
  9. You are correct. Would you mind explaining how you came up with your answer?
  10. How do you get four? If it divides the triangle into half, then shouldn't it be 2?
  11. Kale has more nutrional value than spinach. But since collard greens have more nutritional value than lettuce, it follows that kale has more nutritional value than lettuce. Any of the following, if introduced into the argument as an additional premise, makes the argument above logically correct EXCEPT: A) Collard greens have more nutritional value than kale B) Spinach has more nutritional value than lettuce C) Spinach has more nutritional value than collard greens D) Spinach and collard greens have the same nutritional value E) Kale and collard greens have the same nutritional value. OG's explanation makes no sense to me, so maybe someone can offer an even better explanation? Thanks!
  12. Test message, please delete
  13. Thanks! However, can anyone explain to me why we wouldn't be using the combination formula for this problem? n!/k!(n-k)!
  14. On a certain road, 10% of the motorists exceed the posted speed limit nd receive speeding tickets, but 20% of the motorists who exceed the posted speed limit do not receive speeding tickets. What percent of the motorists on that road exceed the posted speed limit? The answer from PP states that 0.8e = 0.1t. I don't understand this correlation. Thanks!
  15. Hi, Can someone please provide an explanation for this question? In how many arrangements can a teacher seat 3 girls and 3 boys in a row of 6 seats if the boys are to have the first, third, and fifth seats? Thanks!
