hi there, i think that your score is a bit low for getting admitted to Comp. sci branches. However it is not the only criteria for selection, provided you have a good academic background. The univs you shd target, I feel, must be in the rankings between 45 and 80. I am not from this branch and so will be able to only provide limited assistance. aditya.

Hi zorillo, On what basis do you think I spent just one month on my GRE ? I dont remember mentioning it anywhere. Did I ? Please don't presume things, without knowing the facts. I never ever even mentioned that I expected Q800 and V750 , did I? And as a matter of fact, the cardinal rule of this forum is to help others solve their problems and not complicate them. So if you can offer any assistance in that direction do so. Also, if you want to personally advise me, u can do it on my personal email id. you don't need to start an unwarranted discussion here. One major rule, in discussion - STICK TO THE POINT ! I hope you are far more intelligent than I am, to understand what I mean. Aditya.

Hi Zorillo, it was relly nice to read about your comments. I got to know a lot of things from you. I know i could have done better in Quant. but there are times when you just cant get some things right. Happens. But there could me more to why i didnt score 800/800. Did u think of the possibilities, like you do in the Argument Type essay ? There could be a huge amount of resonings between what i have mentioned ( which you all know ) and those that i havent mentioned ( like in argument essays ) Being such a great guide, i think you just over looked those possibilities. What say ? Anyways plz keep posting ur replies and sugesstions. Aditya.

Please comment on my profile. I want to know what are my chances of getting admission in a good university that provides MS in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engg. I got 1400 in GRE ( q 750 v 650 ) and 285 in TOEFL. 1) I completed my Mech Engg from Pune University ( India ) this year itself. 2) I have got 5 First class and Distinction in the Final semester. BE aggregate is 68%. I scored 73% in the Final semester. 3) I am extremely interested in doing MS in Automobiles or Mechatronics, but Automobiles preferably. 4) I am one of the only three people who have done their BE Project and have undergone Training at Daimler Chrysler - Mercedes Benz. No one else was selected prior to us. 5) In addition to this I have participated in 2 National Level paper presentation competitions and came third in one of them. I have also given guest lectures and seminars to juniors. All the topics have been related to Automobiles, such as 21st century vehicles, Fuel cell and Hybrid vehicles, Mechatronics etc. My BE Seminar was too in Mechatronics - Cruise control systems in Automobiles. 6) I was also awarded the Best outgoing student from Mechanical Department. 7) I am currently working in Bajaj Tempo - R&D Dept ( Body Engineering ) 8) I know many computer softwares such as - Catia V5, ProE, Ansys...and would be getting training of Catia V4 in our company shortly. I am presently working on Catia V5 in my company. Plz Guide me. Also let me know Universities that have Automobile Engg. or anything related to it ( research included ) Above which "Rank" universities must I target ? Aditya.

Hi Guys, I just gave my GRE and TOEFL. Got scores of 1400 and 290. I have done my BE Mechanical just this year and am presently working in R&D Dept. of Bajaj. I have done my training and final year project in Daimler Chrysler. I wanted to apply to Univs offernig masters degree in Automobiles or anything related to it. I am unable to locate this on the net coz there is mention of Masters in Mech engg. but no mention of Automobiles anywhere. Could anyone please guide me as to which univs offer courses in Automobiles. It would be of great help. Aditya.
