You have a straight line on which there is a submarine. You have an unlimited number of bullets, each one one that can destroy this submarine. The parameters: (1) this submarine is moving at a constant speed, meaning it proceeds a certain number of units every set span of time; (2) you do not know whether it is moving toward negative infinity or positive infinity; (3) you cannot assume that the curvature of the world will allow you to wait until the submarine comes around the world; (4) you do not know the starting point but you do know that it, for our purposes, doesn't have an ending point; (5) you do not know the speed of the submarine, meaning it can be moving faster than your bullets... How are you able to shoot this submarine with the guidelines provided? Hint: It may involve some algorithmic applications.

The sum of these two numbers is under 99. He tells one person the sum of these numbers and another person the product of these numbers. The person with the product comes up to the person with the sum and says "i don't know the two numbers". The person with the sum replies with "i know that you don't know the two numbers". Immediately, the man with the product says "now i know the two numbers" and the man with the sum says "now i know the two numbers too". What are the two numbers?
