  3. Is 2 1)x^2 -5X+6 2 If x=2.5 YES If x=3.5 NO THUS insufficient 2)5 x^2-25X>0 0>x>5 ||||||||||||||0____2______________4_____5||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Here NO for all values between 2 and 4 THUS sufficient Answer B Please correct me if I missed something
  4. I wasted lot of time on this queston more than it actually deserves. It needs more data. I got it in Cliff test. I do not ahve the answer. But as I have mentioned. Since we can draw many triangles with all the data taken together, we will get many areas. The answer must be E Hey scoot, AB is not the hypotenuse. It is the diameter of the circle. I am sorry if the improper diagram confused you.
  5. 1) DC=16 here as the size of circle is not fixed we have infinite number of possiblites 2) AB=12 With only diameter, we still have so many possible triangles Both taken together also we can draw various triangles by moving C along the radius by varing OC while keeping the circle same i.e. (AB=12) and (DC=16) WE can have various possible values for area So, the best choice must be E 1.bmp
  6. O is the center of the circle. What is the area of the triangle of DOC 1) DC=16 2) AB=12 untitled.bmp
  7. Me too D statement 1 (2M^3+2M)/8=(M^3+M)/4=M(M^2+1)/4 Case M is odd Then M^2+1 must be even But squares are either multiple of 4 or exceed multiple of 4 by1 so, at best (M^2+1) can be a multiple of 4 plus 2 Therefore, it will not be a multiple of 4 so, M can only be even and precisely multiple of 4
  8. 33. M is a positive integer, is M odd? (1) 2M3 + 2M is divisible by 8. (2) M + 10 is divisible by 10.
  9. n adroja Thanks for correcting me and sorry for delay, I regret to have confused so many people. Answer should be C as posted earlier. I probably was dreaming and hope not to make such mistakes on test. when we take both statements we conclude that slope of K will be 4>(slope K) >3 so it is greater than 2
  10. (1) r r r can be 0.05, 0.15, and 0.25 so, t=0 or 1 or 2 not sufficient (2) r r r can only be 0.05 so, t=0 sufficient Answer B
  11. 1) x-y is divisible by 3. 6 and 3 YES 5 and 2 NO 2) x+y is divisible by 3. 3 and 6 YES 2 and 4 NO combining two x-y=3*a x+y=3*b adding x=3*(a+b)/2, (a+b)/2 must be an integer for x to be integer. Thus x is divisible by 3 My answer is C
  12. To view answers Tools--> options ---> go to the view tab --> Check "Hidden Text" ---> Hit OK Akshay Bhai, Even I was asking the same question. But Read the so generous comp bos's message When you click on the link you get the unanswered question. Next on the tool bar hit TOOLS; it opens up a menu: select OPTIONS; A WINDOW OPENS UP ;tick HIDDEN TEXT; and select OK at the bottom; Then say thanks to comp bos
  13. (A) stomach disorders severe enough to have them ENOUGH +infinitive is wrong idiomatically and THEM? (B) stomach disorders that were severe enough so they were Idiomatic problem and THEY? © stomach disorders of such severity so as to be SO AS TO is redundant as TO is enough; Moreover, SUCH…SO AS TO is wrong (D) such severe stomach disorders that they were (E) such severe stomach disorders as to be Formal-It was such a loud noise as to wake everybody in the house. What is the subject(doer, I mean) of ‘to wake’ it can only be LOUD NOISE Similarly, (E) such severe stomach disorders as to be Here the subject can only be STOMACH DISORDERS. But this is illogical and I wonder if one can do so (D) such severe stomach disorders that they were Here THEY can be STOMACH DISORDERS or DRUGS. This is closer to perfect at least 50% better than (E) Informal- It was such a loud noise that it woke everybody in the house.
  14. © 14 percent higher than the previous year’s figure OFFSETS demands that the following part of sentence cannot be parallel to the main clause because SALES is plural. So this is wrong
