I agree with both statements that advertising of new products improves our lives to some extent and at the same time people are encouraged to buy things they really do not need. These days people are daily seeing advertisements of products in Televisions, Week-end magazines and even in some newspapers. These advertisements give us a rough idea about the new product, how it looks like, its new features and even prices also. Sometimes they prompt us to buy those products. Standards of people's life improves due to these advertisements. Say for example by seeing an advertisement of a new microwave or toaster oven, we are tempted to buy the product, which will be helpful to us. We will enjoy its usage. Many people are even buying the products on the internet by seeing the advertisements. Also that if we want to know something about a product, we can't directly go to the shop and enquire about it. Advertisement provides means of dissemination of information for health and social issues as well as for products. Only producers gained through the process of advertising their products. Advertising manipulates us to buy things we don't need by playing on our emotions. It creates artificial needs. Sometimes they create confusion in the minds of people which brand of the product to buy. This is why The content of advertising has long been subjected to much criticism. With the advertisement of proucts on cigarettes, alcoholic products, poeple are tempted buy them, which will harm their health. So what I conclude is adverstisement of product is a good idea which encourages people to buy when in they are in actual need of the product.

I agree with this statement which develops a peron's creativity, his faith in realities. Also there are some advantages in reading books based on fiction. Generally everyone of us read many stories since from the childhood, which were happened sometime ago in past or based on the experiences of our ancient people. This art of studying books based on real life and real events make people more creative in nature, get inspired very much on reading. People develop the mentality of developing individualism, thinking on their own, increase in knowledge. There is less probability of making mistakes. We know that every invention in science is based on real happenings in life. Simple invention that earth has gravitational attraction as stated by Newton, is based on the fact when the apple thrown into air was attracted towards earth. Thus reading books based on real events, real people are more important than reading the books based on fiction. On the contrary, reading books based on fiction, is also advantageous in one or more ways. Some people like their dreams of the future to be better than the history of the past. Reading these fictious novels also develop the thinking ability of a person, ability to make their own decisions. Say for example, we will see many characters in Walt Disney's movies. Those are all imaginary only. But what is important is theme. People, mainly children are gaining knowledge by reading into the books. #Is the ablility to read and wite considered more important today than in the past? Why or Why not?. Support your stance with examples. In the earlier days, people are used to read and write more than today. Because of so many scientific advancements in the our lives, these days no one is taking much care in reading and writing. I support the idea of giving importance for the ability to read and write to make ourselves much more advanced in all aspects. With the introduction of computers,televisions and telephones, people are less caring in their ability to read and write, which is making them in poor conveyance towards presentations, debates and many more. Communication gap is increasing between the individuals. Hence what I suggest is, government or educational boards should take care of introduction of some literature programs, arts etc for students to improve their ability to read and write. Here I cite a simple thing which is almost common in many families. Our parents and grand parents used to study newspaper every day. But we are not at all caring to read. Just we will watch news in T.V or over the internet spending very less time. This is one reason why these days people are lagging behind. So what I suggest is follow our parents footsteps in getting good knowledge of the ability to read and write. Also that if we have good command over the subject, we are able to guide our youngsters and children in future. Who are reading some of our ancient books on history, sacred books like Ramanyana, Bhagvatgita?. Even we can introduce some reading book clubs in our community to bring a change in the social life, peoples' attitude, way of thinking on important issues in today's political life. Already there are some clubs running on this pattern in some countries where people gather and discuss on critical issues and exchange their ideas, increase their knowledge. So what I conclude is reading and writing is considered most important these days of technological development for a person to with stand in todays' world.
