Yeah, I wouldnt get too worked up over the 760 Q, its respectable. Plus, the rest of your package seems pretty strong. I am very impressed with that verbal score, awesome! From personal experience, I only got a Q770 and I was able to get in a top5 and I am also a native caucasian male. So, where do want to apply anyway? Good Luck.

"The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou" is quite possibly the WORST movie I have ever seen. The cast is good, but I think the actors don't fit the roles very well. Anyway, I urge everyone to save their money for graduate application fees and do not see this movie.

Just finished readin "The Runaway Jury" by John Grisham. First book of his I have read. Pretty good, I guess I would give it 4 of 5 stars, on my generic rating system. The movie is not too bad either, but it is a lot different than the book. For example, the book is about a civil trial with the defendent being a cigarette company, but in the movie they make the defendant a gun company. Weird, kind of makes you think why...

I submitted my last day like 2 hours before the deadline and I recieved a rejection email on April 15. I am almost sure you should have heard something by now. Of course, I checked the box on all my applications that said "I cannot attend this university unless I am provided with aid." So, that's probably why I recieved notice on April 15. Congrats, Purdue is an excellent university. I would say you have made the right choice with what is on the table. Did Purdue provide you with any aid?

Larking, Yeah, for some reason I was under the impression that you were male also, whoops! lol. I am going to be attending the University of Illinois in the fall for EE, specializing in communications. My undergrad was a small school in Dayton, OH, - Wright State University. What was your specilaization? Congrats on going to Rice, I almost applied there. Thats funny that you read that article before they had contacted you. Don't worry about not contacting them, its no big deal. I'm not calling anymore because she probably has memorized my voice by now and started to get annoyed, haha. I'll guess we'll just have to wait it out. Just frustrating that we have all these deadlines that are in stone, but grad schools and fellowship committees dont have any. Yeah, that would definitely be cool if we could both win and meet in DC. I have been there 3 or 4 times and it is enjoyable everytime. Did you get to meet Tom Ridge last time you were there?
