  1. I also have not heard from NYU. Also not heard back from UCSD, where the chair was super prompt in responding to my queries earlier. Don't know what to make of these. Like me, do others too feel that it is terribly unprofessional and unethical of universities to say that they will not refund the application fee under any circumstance and then fail to provide applicants with an update before the April 15 deadline? I mean, if they did not process my application, then I should be getting my money back at the very least. If they did process my application, I deserve an update at the very least.
  2. The final FAQ in this Council of Graduate Studies FAQ document says: What time on April 15 is the deadline? The deadline should be 11:59 pm of April 15 in the time zone of the school offering financial support. Hope this is useful for all following this thread.
  3. 1 and 2: MIT, Chicago 3 to 5: Harvard, Stanford, UC Berkeley 6 to 10: Northwestern, Columbia, NYU, Princeton, Yale 11 to 15: Brown, UCSD, UPenn, UCLA, Boston U 16 to 20: Cornell, USC, UMich, UWM, one of your favourite schools that is not in this list (but could also be U Minnesota)
  4. Are you saying this based on last year's decisions?
  5. The application instructions page say that it is not required or accepted. The application portal too didn't ask for self-reporting the GRE, nor does it show receipt of official GRE scores post submission. That's as close to "Do not send to us" as it gets.
