Since a lot of the big dawgs released their results last week, I wanna remind everyone about an old saying one of my letter writers told me: 'If they aren't in contention, don't keep them in suspension!' A slow day is a good day to decline some offers....

Look at the GPAs on the acceptances. Seems lower than the website recommendations so I am hesitant

March 2-3. However I wouldn't look at it like that, the deadline for deciding to attend was pretty far back (before most decisions came out) and I've seen multiple people say they were going to turn down TAMU no matter what after receiving dominating offers.

In person interviews for domestic students were sent out in January. Haven't heard anything for international students

Would very strongly recommend just holding as there are multiple people in your shoes. Emailing is usually for more of a 'hey I'm the only one left' type of situation.

Yeah me too. Though I will say this grad season has provided a very strong incentive to unsubscribe from all promotional email lists because of the undeserved adrenaline rush caused by every new email. February has been a long year.

Somewhat terrifying to read lol. What does an Econ phd look like in 20 years? I wonder at what point does the average age of a new assistant professor hit 40. Anyone know the matriculation rate at Duke / how many offers they handed out last year?
