Hi gdrock. I also received a PhD-CS call from UCSD sometime in mid-March, I got what one calls the reccomendation from the department. I also received my provisional admission letter from the graduate office by April 2nd week.I think once you get admitted the letter fom the grad office is just a formality. Congrats man.. UCSD is a great school ..

Hey centurion, I have a MS offer from Utah CS with a TA offer. Utah is now among the better univs in US with a good ranking in Systems. I think funding for MS shud not be a prob in first year coz there are laot of TA openings for freshers there .

Hi prochainarretus, I had put only one name at the time of my application and even had a few emails exchanged with the prof. After I was admitted , the prof contacted me asking if I was still interested in the group. I have still not committed coz I want to weigh all my options and make the rite decision for myself. I think u should contact the grad office and know who ur graduate advisor is.

Congrats mate !! I got a fellowship offer from UT ECE. I was informed sometime in the first week f March by snail mail.

Hi Guys, I had applied in MS computer Engineering with specializtion in Comp Arch and Compilers.I dont think there should be a problem in the Graduate Office. They just check ur basic materials and forward ur app to the International affairs office, which I think is just a formality. Pold, I think we should hear from the grad ofice soon. Yes Pold.. I have been admitted by ECE Purdue for an MS with an assistantship offer but have not heard yet from the Graduate School. Its been long since I received the notification from ECE Deptt. but have not heard from the Graduate School yet. Any ideas ??

Hi shmslee, I had applied to MS/PhD program at UTexas Austin (ECE). I think the first round of decisions have been made coz I have got a fellowship offer from them. Texas Austin has many rounds of admission and I think you should hear from them shortly.

Thanks a lot guys. I am also very excited. Kamer, My application status at UIUC also says under review by the deptt. Gaurav and Dhruv, My field of interest is Comp Arch. and Compilers. Hnt, I got my admit from Umass alongwith the assistantship offer in the first week of Feb by email. I have also got all the necessary documents from both the Graduate Office and the deptt. by snail mail last week. Best of luck for future admits to all of you.

Thanks Guys, Hey ranji, I heard from Purdue last week on 2nd March. I got an email from the ECE deptt saying that I have been recommended for admission with full financial support for their Masters Program. Yes I applied in Computer Engineering and I am an international applicant from India. Hey tans, still not sure !!
