You should maintain your hope. I just declined the BU Econ offer today. I am sorry for declining late after reading your post but it's cuz I was admitted off the waitlist just on Apr 15. Back to your post, my offer due is on Apr 27, so I think BU sent several offers around Apr 15 with an extended decision due. So in the next two weeks I think some more offers may be made (at least the one from mine). Hope this helps !

Ask Alex and he may give you some info on your status. In my case, he told me to wait until Friday. So I guess there are still a bunch of offer holders not making decisions yet.

Well it's hard to tell. MACSS is a bit "second-class" compared to MAPSS, especially the Econ-track. If you are admitted to MACSS, you are not guaranteed to continue Econ-track if you perform badly in core classes. Basically each year half of CSS Econ students would go to industry thanks to the rough CS trainings in this program. If you want to backup an industry path or want to take UChicago hell core classes, I will recommend it, but be prepared.

Former MACSS grads, waitlist by UChicago this year. I will say predoc at BFI is even better.

Sorry to hear that, but does anyone not hear about NW Econ yet? I put it as my first opt and Kellogg at 2nd. I assume my application will never turn to Kellogg if Econ holds forever..
