waiting 4 my AWA score... but the rest was not very good V 420 Q 770 will post my AWA score...as soon as i get it

Ver Quan Total Real Gre V 420 Q 770 1190 Kaplan 1 V 530 Q 560 1090 Kaplan 2 V 460 Q 630 1090 Kaplan 3 V 520 Q 680 1200 PPGRE1 V 440 Q 750 1190 PPGRE2 V 460 Q 720 1180 ( one day before exam) I studied just for 9 days & got an increment of 110 points, last exam I took 4 months back & score was 1080. I know this score will not do much good, but it shows that one can improve by 110 point by studying for 9 days!! Good luck to you!

Hey! I took the GRE earlier, my verbal was 330 & Q750. I think my Quant is okay but want to improve on verbal. Any suggestions? I have been referring to Barrons and Nova. Plan to take GRE again after two weeks, i know less time, but have to try my best. Any suggestions are more than welcome!

What requires real effort and courage is to move in the opposite direction—in other words, to make things as simple as possible." I adhere to the above statement, but I also believe that it only applies to particular fields, in some the vice-a-versa is true. Taking examples from the world of computers: The programs preferred are programs that are easy and simple, which as well solve the problem in stead of program more complex and lengthy. On the other hand, while making software’s, to make software easy and simple for use makes it hard to make. A lot of extra work, extra coding has to be done to make the software more user-friendly. Another example in literature: The sentence “The only house nearby, which has a red roof, has a beautiful garden”. This could also be stated as “My neighbors have a beautiful garden”. Like stated above using the word “Neighbor” reduces the sentence length but for that one should the word ‘neighbor’ in his vocabulary. Any painting made either big or small can be made complex or simple. But to provide shades to even a two color painting requires lot of painstaking thoroughness to give it an appealing look. Thus if you want the work to be easy on you, you can leave it complex and bigger for other, but if you want to work to be easy on others, you have to work hard on it so that it be simple and easy for others. But for this to happen, requires diligence and long hard working hours and this definitely is not the easy way out. But there are instances when people have made the mistake of choosing the complex way when something easier could have been done. Like, an anti-gravity pen was made to be used in the spaceship, this pen cost a lot in it’s development where instead one could use a pencil which rightfully serves the purpose in the spaceship. There are few rare incidents when it is necessary to make things harder and complex, but for the enemies, this happens to be the case in wars when one side tried to make it difficult by creating traps and other calamities for their opponents. We even try to make things harsh and troublesome for the prisoners. But in all such cases we are defending you or giving justified punishment. As stated above in different examples to make things better for humanity, makes it hard for us to make it, who says it was to even make an atom bomb, or to make a user-friendly computer? It takes a lot of perseverance hardships, diligence and sacrifices. But what one has to learn is to learn is to be happy and motivated even while doing so. Another example that goes here is of two children who were punished in their class, their punishment was to write the line “I will not do such mistake again” 200 times. One child got tired and desperately waited for the teacher to uplift their punishment. When the time was over, the teacher let both the students go, but one of the students asked for 2 more minutes, the teacher was baffled and asked why he needed more time? The response from the child was “I have been trying to write each line in a new style and just now two more new styles have come in my mind!” One has to take the hard and complex way to make it simple and easy for the user. Life isn’t easy the work we do isn’t either, but we can make the tough job fun and go on with our perseverance and diligence to complete the work successfully.
