i dont think Gatech has started giving out MS Comp Sc results yet. generally gatech is among the last ones to give out results. i expect gatech results in april

hmm..since i am also from mumbai univ engg. i can probably relate to your profile...i think u can go a little more ambi although i dont know how many deadlines uve missed...ASU was dec 1st if i aint mistaken... are ur recos and project at amdocs good??? Vtech deadline also gone i guess.... NEU, Buffalo, NYU, Syracuse and USC are practically safe ... consider CMU-INI..and UC Irvine. Also revise your list based on univs whose deadlines arent gone as yet.. good luck. Kaushal.

hello, i ll be applying for an MS in CS as is probably evident from another thread i ve posted here. i am getting good recommendations from my professors and one from my principal since i was the general secretary of my college. is it ok if i submit two technical recommendations that talk about my skills in CS and one from my princi which will emphasize my leadership qualities, organizing skills and mention the fact that inspite of active extra curricular participation i have been a top ranker? will my princi's reco help? my recos might also be longer than one page. is that acceptable?? please answer. i need the answers. thanks. kaushal.

ya ...frankly speaking you are hard pressed for time when ur taking down notes because u wanna write down everything the speaker says...so what u shud try is identify the idea of a sentence being spoken and write it down as one keyword...also write down all e.g. s and data...dates etc that are mentioned by the speaker...generally u will end up getting a question on them.

thanks disp, kaplan and toefl ibt are at par in terms of difficulty level. however on my actual toefl ibt i got 3 conversations and 6 lectures in the listening section so please be prepared for the same, it gets very tiring with so many listening passages. For speaking i would suggest whenever u practice the 4 kaplan tests which are a must according to me record your own responses in the speaking section during the test as if u were actually taking the toefl and then compare your responses to the sample responses at the end....that will be the necessary and sufficient practice. My preparation was only the 4 kaplan practice tests which i took over a period of 4 days. i didint even open the kaplan preparation book and i dont think its required. This was my 1st attempt at the toefl.
