  1. I'm planning to apply to either a M.A or M.Sc in Statistics at the University College Dublin. Also looking at other schools in Britian, but right now only for the M.A/M.Sc. Hope this helps. J
  2. I was wondering if someone could tell me what the 1st Class, 2nd Class Honour system in Britian translates to in U.S. GPA or cum laude's. Thanks
  3. Hey guys. I have a question for you. I was wondering what I should do. I have a pretty mediocre gpa at my current school (hovering right over 3.0) and a 2.8 from Northeastern U. (where I transferred from) I would love to get into a Ph.D. program in Economics that is respectable. I was wondering what your thoughts about going to Europe to do a fresh 3 year undergrad program in something like math or statistics. Or can I stay at UConn, ace a masters program (I know I can get in) and go from there? Hope you guys can help my prodding mind. P.S. The reason for such crappy grades for my last four years has been a learning disability that I just found out about. I have been suffering through ADD and now am medicated so I know I can succeed to greatness! Thanks Josh
  4. Hey there all. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with the application process for a Masters in Architecture. This has always been a dream of mine, but my school does not offer it as a pre-professional degree. This means that I am looking at schools that have the three and a half year masters program. I was wondering if anyone would like to share what schools I should be applying to? (Do top ranking schools have that much pull?) I hope someone here went through this to help me out. Can't wait to hear from ya'll!
  5. Hey there! I have been exploring this site for some time and I finally decided to say hello to all of you! A little about myself for all that are interested. I am a double major here at UConn. My primary major is Economics and my secondary major is Mathematics-Statistics. I plan on attending grad school, which I will be applying for next year. My track right now will probably include an Mathematics Masters somewhere near, a Economics Masters somewhere abroad, and then returning, maybe, to the states for a PhD in Economics. Right now I am an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Connecticut Center for Economic Analysis, and have been working here for just over a year now. If anyone has any questions about UConn specifically I am more than willing to help! Hope to hear from you all soon!
