  1. Some people think that governments should spend as much money as possible on developing or buying computer technology. Other people disagree and think that this money should be spent on more basic needs. Which one of these opinions do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer. Of these two opinions, whether governments should spend as much money as possible on developing or buying computer technology or spend it on more basic needs, I think that the money should be spent on more basic needs. The reason I support this is that, I come from a developing country and there are regions in my country that do not receive electricity and clean water. And spending money on computer technology, when the country is in this state, is more luxurious. Another major problem that my country suffers from is regarding medical equipment and medicine. The life expectancy of an individual in the past recent years has been going down at a very fast rate. And this is due to the fact that the country fails to tackle curable diseases and provide the required medication. In addition, many areas of the country, experience lack of education. Many rural areas are still at an early stages of civilization with no kind of education. Furthermore, the country fails to provide adequate food for the nation, leaving many to put up with drought and poverty. Therefore, I suggest that the money be spent on reaching out to those areas and providing them with their current necessities. This includes building schools and clinics, suppling fertilizers to farmers, constructing roads and many more. On the other hand, computer technology plays an important role on minimizing heavy duty work and increasing productivity. And spending the money on the basic necessities and not on computer technology will not familiarize the people with where the world is and lessen their pace from moving forward. According to my view, both opinions have their own importance. Yet I still believe that the government should try to eliminate the current and major problems of the country. And as a result create a balance to decrease the diversity among the two.
  2. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement.? Most experiences in oiur lives that seemed difficult at the time become valuable lessons for the future. Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer. I agree with the statement that most experiences in our lives that seemed difficult at the time become valuable lessons for the future. Experiences are part of our daily life, and difficulties are bound to arise at any time. I, personally, have gone through difficult times at school, work, relationship etc.... Back when I was in high school, I faced lots and different kinds of difficulties, and among the hardest was peer pressure. As long as I can remember, basically all throughout high school, I was the girl who tried to fit in. I was very much influenced by my environment. My concerns, like how I looked, who liked me, and who approved of my actions were among the many. Eventually, I learned to develop a center of truth and confidence , and let my self go deeper to find my inner self and grow from within. At work, I had problems getting along with my co-workers. I would find my self getting into arguments over simple misunderstanding. After months of having similar problems, I learned to settle things in a well mannered way with patience. And most of all, to maintain positive and friendly attitude. In conclusion, I would like to state that experience is a great way to learn. It doesn’t matter whether it’s from our victory or failure, I believe that we should be open to let ourselves acquire the necessary knowledge and wisdom.

  4. A company has announced that it wishes to build a large factory near your community. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this new influence on your community. Do you support or oppose the factory? Explain your position. For several reason I would not agree with idea of a large factory being built near my community. I leave in an area designed for residential purposes . Building a factory means introducing many new things, mostly negative. My first and main concern would be air pollution. This will definitely bring a drastic change on the environment and affect animals, plants, and the air we breath. Next, my community has residents with families involving mainly children and the elderly. And therefore put the community’s security at risk. In addition, factories create lots of noise which will interfere with the community’s tranquility. After a long day at work it will make it nearly impossible to relax. Not only that but also inconvenient to walk to the park and enjoy a peaceful moment or even take a nap during the day. Another major problem would be traffic. Cars are another factor to introduce pollution and disturbance. Therefore, due to the employees of the factory, traffic and shortage of parking spaces will arise. Lastly, I would like to mention that as a result of big cars and trucks used by the factory to transport row materials and finished product, the life of the road will be put at stake and forced to depreciate before the expected time period. On the other hand, building a factory means creating job opportunities. This could be regarded as advantageous for minimize the scarcity of employment. According to my view, I would like to conclude that building a factory in my community has more disadvantages than advantages and therefore oppose the company’s wishes. I would be so please if erin read this and gave me an evaluation. I’ll be waitin’ ruth
