thanks! i understand that it wud be difficult to get any financial aid with a score of 550..i guess i will hv to do some more research. I am actually thinking of giving the test again..:whistle: if only i increase my score in verbal..i can touch 600.....

hi..my gmat score is 550 (Q37, V28)..i have mailed some universities..and i have got positive response from them..but i am in a fix..i do not know which univ is best..i got positive response from syracuse university, university of north carolina - brown. I have 4 yrs of work ex as a project leader, my gpa is 3. can anybody help me out here? could you suggest some other bschools which wud accept this score? thanks

i was speechless when i saw my score..i didn't expect it. Verbal was tough..i got two boldface questions..and sooo many SC's!!! i think i must have got 6 or 7 CR..and 4RC passages and rest was all SC's!! I must have lost all my points on RC only.....i dont know how to improve on that... quant was like og..but i guess i did some silly mistakes in between. But there was one thing that happend..which irritated me beyond anything..and the worst part is i couldnt do anything about it. When i started my verbal section, a guy started writing his AWA..and was literally pounding on his keyboard. I just couldnt concentrate..at all :( even with ear plugs..i couldnt concentrate..and i am sure other people in the room also would hv been affected by this..i hv only one thing to say here..besides preparing for gmat..one shud also focus on keyboard skills..i mean i feel so bad.i could have scored much better...i partly blame for that noise for breaking my concentration..and partly for my RC's..i am very dissapointed! i have done the entire OG twice..here are my scores PP1 - 450 PP2 - 490 after this i studied from kaplan, princton and OG PP1- 650 PP2 - 710 and 2 days before my gmat i gave PP1 and scored 730!!! i was expecting my score to be on same lines..but it is not the case.. either this software is fooling people or verbal has become tougher. Guide me please..i need some direction! is giving gmat 2 or 3 times bad? with this score are there any colleges where i can apply? i have 4 yrs work ex. very dejected natasha:(:(

Hello twinsplitter..could you please advice me on this....i scored 710 and 730 in PP tests..after doing DS and PS (hard bin..as you suggested in ur prep strategy) and complete sc and cr. I have completed all the kaplan section tests and hv scored more than 80%. Today after giving the PP2 test and scoring 730 i scored 550 in pr test!! i do not understand this? Which test actually depicts my performance..PR or PP tests??? i am really desperate! I have just one week left.. any suggestion is highly welcome thanks Natasha
