Hi All, I need some suggestions from all of you. I am a comp. science graduate of 2005 batch with a aggregate percentage of 61%. I have a generag GRE score of 1200 and planning to appear in Nov "06 subject GRE test with little hopes of scoring high marks. I think i do not stand a chance in any of the good US universities. Also, I do not have any work experinece with me. Do any of you guys think that I can apply to any good/ decent university. I need help... Pls advice... Thanks a lot.

Hey, Could anybody rate my essay. Thanks. Topic: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Essay: I believe that parents are the best teachers. Parents are the ones who have close connection with their children, can imbibe the family values in their children during growing years and can guide their children in decision- making through their own experience. Parents are the first teacher that a child has. Being parents, they develop a close, emotional connection with their child and are most involved in the development and education of their children than any professional teachers. Parents teach child to learn, to walk, to sit and fulfill all the basic needs a child wants before the child reaches the real world. During the growing years of a child, the parents are their role models. In childhood and sometimes in adolescence the child tends to copy whatever his parent does. In this way, he inherits the values system, mannerism and a behavior of his parents. For example, I have learnt the traditional way of pickle making from my mother. Learning different values gives a child a strong moral grounding to deal with the different life situations later in life. Every child needs trustworthy a friend/ teacher to discuss the problems he faces during the different stages of life. Parents knowing what is best for their child will always give the right advice to their child based on their own knowledge and experience. However, some may argue that unlike professional teachers, the parents are not aware of the latest trends and the current knowledge of the world. So, they cannot provide better understanding on the different issues. But, parents knowing the basic nature of their child can understand him better and can provide the right guidance. In summary, the parents can help their child by imbibing different value systems, can fulfill the basic needs of a child and can give right guidance to his child while decision making. THANNX. Hi all.. I am very confused and not confident about taking up subject GRE. The only and only reason is that i have only 55% aggregate in CS engineering and 62% in the final year. Pls. advice me how should i go about. Is this will be the only factor throughout of not getting an addmission in any good university in US. I am very disheartned and disssappointed........i really want to get into a good university to pursue further. Pls help..
