Kitty_nov01 Posted July 17, 2005 Share Posted July 17, 2005 hi guys.. i am smitha.... i've already given GRE and TOEFL.. my score in GRE is 1440(650 in verbal and 790 in quant + 4.5 in writing) and my TOEFL score is 293.. i've completed my BTech from Guru Nanak Engg College affiliated to JNTU , Hyderabad with an overall 68.86%.. (my class highest being 75%) i have no publications to my name.. i do have a some projects in vlsi design from ASL,DRDO and protocol development and am planning to do a PG diploma in embedded sys. design can someone plz tell me the chances of getting in to the top 20 universities for an MS in EE/CS.. or should i target below.. what if i give the subject test in CS.. how much will that help? :confused: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bond Posted July 18, 2005 Share Posted July 18, 2005 ur GPA is 3.67,so u stand a good chance in top 20.as ur GRE & TOEFL r good. BUT,the lack of research publications could(& I'm sure would) hamper ur chances in TOP 20.My advise would be give the CS TEST & apply to top15-20 colleges & to TOP 20-30 as well.u can expect some sort of aid from TOP 20-30 colleges.
