aascd
So I'm planning to apply to MA programs for the 2018 cycle, and I have the good fortune of having a connection through a colleague to a tenured prof at my top choice school, who has agreed to meet with me for coffee. I don't know whether he is on the adcomm, but I'm hoping this connection can help my chances. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to approach this, or examples of the sort of questions you would ask, were you in this situation? Zubrus
Location says Toronto, Ontario. So I'm assuming you're meeting a professor from one of the big 4. Look, getting into one of the four MA programs is pretty clear cut. If you have the grades, you'll get in. If you don't, this coffee meeting will amount to nothing. I have a pretty good understanding of what profiles get into Canadian MA's so PM me if you are interested in my take.
Kaysa
How much sway and funding does this professor have?
