  1. Your city has decided to build a statue or monument to honor a famous person in your country. Who would you choose? Use reasons and specific examples to support your choice It is really hard to decide who should receive the honor that building a statue or monument to memorize his or her contributions to my country, China. Since numerous people have made great achievements to my motherland, and all of them deserve such honor. However, in my point of view, the one who should be given such honor most is longping Yuan, the inventor of hybrid rice.. First, it was Yuan that invented a method that guaranteed the rice supply for thirteen million Chinese people. Before Ren working out the new kind of rice, the rice yield of China was insufficient to meet the need of domestic market, and thus China had to rely on the expensive rice imports to make up for the insufficiency. However, thanks to the invention of hybrid rice, situation has changed dramatically. Today, rice yield of China can satisfy most of the domestic market, and can even export some amount of rice to other countries. This great change is due to the effort of Yuan. Second, it is Yuan’s dedication to science that deservers the honor. After graduation, Yuan could easily find a high salary job in big cities since, at that time, university students were very limited in China. However, to everyone’s surprise, Yuan chose to work in the poor rural areas and spent the whole life there. When one reporter asked him why he chose to work in the countryside, rather than big cities, he said that because he loved science so much that he would go wherever science need him to go. In conclusion, although there are a large number of people deserve the honor. I strongly recommend that Yuan is the most appropriate person for his great invention that solved the food supply of China and his great scientific spirit.
  2. It is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to develop your answer. Children are more vulnerable to their surroundings. The environment in which the child (children) grow will have great influence on them. The way on which children behave and react to the situation basically depends on their surroundings. In my opinion, it is better for the children to grow in a big city than in the country for the reasons like good education, advanced medical facilities and accurate view towards many general things. Undoubtedly, it is better for children to grow up in a city to have their education. It is unfortunate that, still many of the villages are lack of schools. This is the main reason why many of the people living in villages are illiterate. (However,) The schools in cities follow many advanced methods of teaching their children. As a result the children will be aware of the advanced technology. Secondly, the children who grow up in a big city will have excellent medical facilities. In villages there is a chance (there are more chances) for the people to have many health problems because of their ignorance about various diseases and the causes. As children are less resistant to diseases they often fall sick and may even die. In cities, I observed many parents running towards the hospitals even for the silly health problems(ailments) like cold and cough. Some of my relatives and their children who live in a big city often visit my village for vacation. They used to have many health problems. And we have to run to the near by towns. Finally, it is better for children to grow up in a big city to have accurate view towards many things. In cities we have advanced technology like videogames, toys, computers and televisions. These help the children to gain more knowledge. We have a wide diversity of people in cities, either it be in neighborhood or in school. So the children can learn their culture, their food habits and so forth. In sum, I believe that it is better for children to grow up in a big city than to grow up in the countryside. As children are trendsetters they should be aware of the advancements in each and every field. very good paper. come on!
  3. In some countries, people are no longer allowed to smoke in many public places and office buildings. Do you think this is a good rule or a bad rule? Use specific reasons and details to support your position Some countries make laws to forbid people to smoke in public occasions, such as office buildings and parks. Some people oppose this action for the reason that it is the right of citizens to smoke wherever they like. In my point of view, I totally support the law that smoking is not allowed in public places, since it would harm the health of both smokers and other people around them. What’s more, it will cause air pollutions and dangers. Not only do smoking in public places destroy the health of smokers, but it will also cause other people to become sick. Scientists have pointed out that smoking could do harm to one’s health, especially to passive smokers. If one smokes in public places, other people, no matter willing or unwilling, have to breath the smoke. Therefore, it is not fair for other people if one smokes in public places. In addition, smoking in public can cause air pollution. No one can deny the fact that smoke is one of the most important pollutions all over the world. Stop smoking in public places could reduce the amount of smoke in the air; and therefore, lesson the pollution in our world. Suppose that all of the smokers stop smoking in pubic places, our sky would become much more clear today. Last but not least, smoking in public may also cause disasters. Some smokers have the bad that throwing out their cigarettes to floor or glass after their smoking. This behavior may lead to big fires or other dangers. If smokers are not allowed to smoke in public places, such accidents will decrease as a result. In conclusion, it may seem not fair to forbid people smoking in public places at the first glance. While after a careful examination, we will find the advantages of forbidding public smoking outweigh disadvantages. For smokers, it is worth for them to restrain themselves not to smoke in public places for the sake of other people’s health and safety.

    May you score please?

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Always telling the truth is the most important considertion in any relationship between people. Relationship between people is the most important connection on earth as(I think in this place, “because/since” is better, since I look up in the dictionary that “AS” often refer to those unimportant reasons) humans are to be the only creatures having the ability in some ways to control the world. In the life of a human the concept of 'being a part of society' has an important role. Because a human exists with his/her enviroment(environment) that includes people around them. And all their lives are shaped by their enviroment. (environment) So at first these relations must be perfect. Whatever the type of the relation is, to make relations strong, people must have believes against(why use against here?) each other. (do you think “people must trust each other” is better?) If one can not believe to anything that the other claims then there won't be anything but a missing connection. A lie may be believed or two. But someone can not(nobody can) make others believe to his/her endless lies. A good relationship first of all must include truths and must be clear from lies. Always telling the truth may bring some difficulties and also some problems. You may lose your friends too. Because truth may include some realities that may hearth(hurt?) the owner. It can also be hard to decline the truth because rejection is not a well-liked manner. But I believe that if someone loses his friend just only because of the truths then his friend has never been a real friend. So the mistake had started before losing, but with the acceptance of that person as a friend. I don't believe characteristics are brought with the birth. It is shaped with everything around us whether we are aware them or not. We must shape our characters basing on to be true. Then our relations will be clear. And we won't have to take the responsibilities of lies. Turth is a concept that may be hard to stand but it easily helps us if we believe in heart. Good paper. I just correct some mistakes, and I don’t know what score you will receive since I am also a beginner. Anyway, good luck to you!.
  5. thank you very much! I will take exam in 10 ten days, and only write one paper. bless me!
  6. my first paper, please rate it, thank you! Every generation of people is different in important ways. How is your generation different from your parents’ generation? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer. As for as I am concerned, the differences between our generation and our parents’ generation lie in two aspects: the one is attitude towards changing jobs, the other is the people admired by two generations. Most of our parents’ generation work for one company during their whole lives in that they believe that sticking to one job could best represent their loyalties to their companies. However, during their careers, young generation prefer to try variety of jobs since their own development is more important than the loyalty to their companies. For example, my father has been working in the same factory for thirty-five years, while my elder brother, a new graduate, has change his jobs three time within two years. In addition, the people whom two generations admire are quite different. Most of our parents regard political and military leaders, such as chair Mao, as their idols. However, for our generation, those leads are not viewed as important as sports stars and film celebrities. This is due to the different environment the two generations grow up. Growing up in the wartime, our parents greatly appreciated those who dispelled the invaders and led to the establishment of our country. On the contrary, brought up in the peacetime, our generation pays much attention to those, who could achieve gold medals for our country, such as athletes, and film stars who bring happiness to us. To sum up, though our generation differs from our parents’ generation in numerous ways, two of the most significant differences, as far as I am concerned, are job loyalty and influential people.
