  1. guys just a small question..is sqrt of x there could be a case that x i have read somewhere that x sqaure underroot (sqrt) is always positive...pls let me know..
  2. thanx manish and dabas.. however just wanted to know that sqrt (x2) is always positive..isint it? i think i read it some where..pls confirm it..that was the reason why i was getting 1 in this case. same is the case with the 1st question in the second doc 'gprep2'.. pls have a look at it as well..there are 3 questions which i did not get in that doc..thanx
  3. shivalib

    gprep again

    last lot...:) thanx..
  4. mba08...how did u reach at the figure of 24? i did not quite understand it...
  5. hey.congratulations........gr8 score..why do u want to bother urself again...i think 720 is kewl enough..
  6. Though these were posted before ..but no one was able to give the strategy properly..examples etc...would really appreciate if someone can help in explaining with examples.
  7. few more...and 2 below: 1. If x 2. A wire 40 m long is cut into 2 pieces, one is used to form a circle with radius r and the other is used to form a square. No wire is left over. What is the total area of the circular and the square regions in terms of r? Pie r2 Pie r2+10 Pie r2+1/4 pie2 r2 Pie r2+(40-2pie r)2 Pie r2+(10-1/2pie r)2
  8. few of these are very general..but i would like to know if someone can provide the solution with an example.,,i manage to solve these but m taking long...thanx
  9. even i would vote for c... the questions is quite confusing. As the argument states that there is a decline in the no. of assemblers and this would result to an increase in imports...then there could be a possibility of C...not sure
  10. ans pls as its been long now...i found these questions interesting...:)
  11. hey..c it is.. u r right it is easy to narrow down to b and c but if u see more closely, the sentence is talking about 'THE NUMBER OF CITIZENS......HAS '...the is always singular...also declaring themselves bankcrupt jumped by....in B, doesnt sounds good to ears.. however, m not too sure about the answer...but wud love to know the OA :)
  12. hey is the answer b..?? statement gives the info that mv ie that either v is negative or m & p both are negative. 1 not sufficient as m & p can be both negative and both positive. doesnt give any info on v 2 is sufficient since it gives the info that m is negative so if m is negative p will also be negative as both are less than 0
  13. hi leo..thanx for the explanations..however, i would request you to elaborate by giving examples in ques: Q1 (pls give an example or the value assumed), 4,11,13,2 (is the answer coming out to be negative, pls share ur approach) and 7 (do u know any trick to solve such questions on intercepts) below are 3 more questions from gprep: q1 - DS Question In the xy plane does the line with equation y=3x+2 contain the point (r,s) 1. (3r+2-s) (4r+9-s)=0 2. (4r-6-s) (3r+2-5)=0 q2 - Just curious to know whether my approach is correct or not- pumps AB & C operate at their constant rates. Pumps A& B together completes the tasks in 2 hrs , b&c together in 3 hrs and A&C in 4 hrs.. How long doea it take A,B & C to fill the tanks together. what I did is 1/2+1/3+1/4 - (a+b+c) = 1 is it correct?:hmm: q3 - A semicircle is given on a number line with centre at 0. It has two points P&Q touching the semicirce at opposite direction. Point p is (-root3,1) and q is (s,t)..what is the value of s. I think my approach is correct on this but lets verify from u guys.... thanx
  14. alan16 pls reconfirm the OA..THANX
  15. b for me...agree that the tense is incorrect but it is the best pick..(i think...) it has to be 'likened as' in the end which leaves a and b options.. 'which' looks odd in a.... As such,no other reason for choosing a..:hmm:
  16. the answer is d...pls let us know the OA
  17. hi.. could you pls provide options to q1 is the answer e for q2 or c(not too sure) q3 is not clear..could you elaborate?
