  1. Just received a letter from NABP today after waiting almost 12 mths (submitted my application October 2005) that said they want the translator to sign and date each page of my diploma's translations :mad: WTF ?? It took them 1 year to review that ?? Another thing, apparently NABP is not familiar with the way pharmacists in Indonesia get their "licenses". Back there we need to do 3 yrs community service and then get a certificate of accomplishment for that and this certificate acts as your "license", so the Dept of Health doesn't call it "license". Now NABP said that the certificate doesn't qualify as license, and want something that said "license" on it. I would try to explain the situation and maybe go through the route where there is no "license" required for my country. Just wondering if any of you guys have any experience with this. What kind of supporting docs that they need and the likes... please help ...
  2. I think the correct usage should be: "forbid" + someone + "from" Hence, 2. B, 3. A
  3. Well, you can always do the test first and ask them to send it afterwards, with a fee of course... ;)
  4. No. You need to fill out the schools' choices before you even begin the test.
  5. I think answer for Q1 is 1 and 9. There are 64 classes in total (32 x 2),and 37 teachers which each of them teach at least 1 class. ==> 64 - 37 = 27 2x + 3y = 27 x= 0 --> y = 9 x= 12 --> y = 1 Q2: E
  6. I got 29 on writing and 24 on speaking, first try. Other things that you might want to look at when you write is the flow, I mean your entire passage should have have good flow that makes it easy to read, maybe you should pay closer attention to transition between paragraph and try to use different words when you highlight the reading passage (not just repeating the exact same sentences/words with the ones in the question). If you read my debrief in "Just finished my TOEFL" part, you can see what I think I did wrong and what worked for me. Good luck to you ! Edited to add: another thing that might improve your writing skills is reading newspapers or magazines, or even books. That way you will get a sense on how to write English passages.
  7. In the integrated task, I highlighted the main ideas from both sections (reading and listening) and wrote how these two ideas complemented or contrasted each other (depending on what the passage and lecture are). Length is also important I believe, so make sure that you hit the range that they mentioned for each task (I think it was 300-400 words for integrated task). If you have Longman's book, you can look into their writing tips; they give a pretty accurate description on how the test questions are and how to handle them.
  8. Congrats fafy ! Khadija, at least you heard something from them. I sent my application back in October 05 and haven't heard anything... :(
  9. Congrats for your score ! Great debrief. I'm interested in joining your yahoogroup, will send you PM.
  10. First of all, congrats on your score ! That's an interesting observation you had about the screen... hmmmm... I've never noticed that when I took my test. :p
  11. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the universities that we send our TOEFL Ibt score to will be able to see the list of all the score's recipients ?? I think there was a list of all recipients in my copy, so I want to know if the universities will also see the same list. I don't really want them to know which other unis that I apply for .... :rolleyes:
  12. I would consider my experience as "bad" since I got small blurry computer screen (took 20 mins for me to adjust), but the rests were okay and I am quite happy with my result :grad: Test date: June 10, 2006 I'm not sure about the test center's name, I think it's ETS something... but it was in Eddy Hall, Minneapolis, MN (it's inside the University of Minnesota).
  13. You can find more info by reading debriefs from people who have done their GMAT. Just go to "Just finished my GMAT" section
