A: "and" is not showing the contrast. I think "but" is required to show the contrast. Other than that I dont see any problem here. Good one. A: B: 'it' - no reference. C: D: 'its ...members' prejudice' - is odd; had- is required to show the time difference. E: 'its support of' - 'its' - does not have clear reference. Though I left with A and C, I could not able to understand the difference between usage of 'where' and 'while'. In A, 'by supporting' is clear when compared with 'in support of' in C. Can anybody explain difference b/n while/where in this sentence?

C it is. for 'D', we need past tense to support "had". Am I correct?
