  1. Sorry for the brief post, just want to take a more informed decision (with great advices form TMcians) PhD in Economics in Cornell / WUSTL (funding by the National Science & Technology Council of Mexico full tuition+ 14k stipend, and other local fellowship of 12k up to 5 years each). Fields of interest: Public Finance (taxation, federalism, decentralization processes, Labor Economics (wages and income distribution) and Political Economy. Thanks a lot for your comments.
  2. Thanks a lot Econ2006! And again congratulations!!!! :grad:
  3. Nice Admit Econ2006  !!! How did you find it (web page, email, phone)?
  4. Those fields that you probably chose as your second choice (in the case that you'll be rejected) PAM Policy Analysis and Management AEM Applied Economics and Management IRL Industrial & Labor Relations
  5. I’m still waiting for 9 (yeah 9!!!). Although I’m expecting rejects by a really slow snail mail from Harvard, Stanford and Columbia. I'm waitlisted at Duke and NYU (please TM's release a spot for me). And not a word from U Penn, UCLA, Cornell & UT Austin.
  6. Agent, how did yo know about columbia? by email or snail mail?
  7. Congrats on that nice admit  But, as you said, until now Brown is your top choice
  8. Great admits andy!!! BTW rejected by Berkeley:(
  9. Congrats jvavra!!!! Great admit! !!:grad: Does your online status change?
  10. I really appreciate your words econgeek. I established that on my SOP, you know… that I would like to go back to Mexico to work for the government (in a research position). And there is a Harvard ex alumni foundation that assures full funding for every Mexican admitted at Harvard. And best of luck for your pending results
  11. Thanks andy, good luck to you too! I don't feel so enthusiastic for the rest of my pending U's, who knows? (Looks like we decide to apply in the history’s most competitive year for PhD in Econ)
  12. Public Finance (mainly Fiscal Federalism) & Political Economy
