Hello, David,
I would be pleased if you can assess my possibility to get admitted to an MBA. I'm interested in Bocconi (top 10 european university):
GMAT: I have not yet taken it. My goal is to obtain at least 700; given my training with powerprep, a good estimate could be 720.
TOEFL: 283/300 with 5.0 in the essay
GPA: I got 110/110 cum laude in Electronic Engineer
Work Experience: I have two years and half of experience in a consulting frim specialized in IT. No promotions because the first time I'll be eligible for a promotion will be this september
Age:28 years old
Extra:
I'm playing two sports at a regional level
I think that my work experience is a weakness, because it is too short and also not differentiating from the other applicants.
Thanks in advance
The answer is c.
In a right angled trinagle (hypotenuse)2=(base)2+(perpendicular)2
il you call hypotenuse x you can write the following equation:
x2=(x-6)2+(x-3)2
It is not necessary to solve it to answer to the problem, but...
x2=x2-12x+36+x2-6x+9
x2-18x+45=0
(x-15)(x-3)=0
x=15,3
Obviously, 3 is wrong because the base can not be
i don't agree with roborob.
the question is: what fraction of the students who graduate with honors are transfer students?
in the first scenario, u have 15/25
in the second scenario, u have 30/50.
I think that the answer is B.
The only doubt is that the text ask the fraction and not the percentage. Obviously in two scenarios the percentage is the same; i think that also the fraction is the same (that is 3/5), but the answer seems to suggest that we don't have to normalize it.

This morning i did the toefl.
My goal was to obtain at least 250 ans i can say...i've done it!!!
27 listening
11-28 structure/writing
30 reading
Thanks to all, without this wonderful site i'i not be able to obtain this score!!!
I studied on Cambridge Books, and i achieved good results on listening (25 at least).
How do you rate Cambridge?
In your opinion Is Toefl listening harder?
Thanks
30=2*3*5
So, the three positive integers a,b,c are 2,3,5.
Take the first equation: a a=2,b=3,c=5
The second a-b=c --> a=5,b=3,c=2
So, each question alone is sufficient (even if the two different equations take to two different results).
