  4. Hello Raghuveer I am planning to give my exam in a month also. I saw the area code for phone number...do you by any chance stay in Houston? I just wanted to know cause I stay in houston. It would be nice to have some one to discuss with! Pharmaintern
  5. hi mygoal2k6 I've read many people use cpr for fpgee but apha for naplex...with cpr as reference. As far as what drugs are important...I don't know...I haven't taken the exam yet......I am just preparing.....so your guess as good as mine. I do know that apha has the brand names for most of the meds which are important for naplex. Good luck! Hi bhanu m I have been studying for about a month now and I have a month to go for the exam. I have gone thru the apha once too till now. but I am not waiting till dec to take the exam...I am taking it in nov....I just want to give it a shot and see....hope to pass....but if otherwise....I shall try again in 3 months.....A&L is all I have for Math. I dont plan to refer from too many materials since I have only about a month....I think I will stick to apha and a&L. good luck! bye pharmaintern
  6. Hello, I am following APHA...with cpr as reference incase some topic is not clear. APHA has very few other chapters apart from drugs....so most of the chapters are important. A&L is a good test after you review apha once or twice. Pharmacology and Math are I beileve the main topics in the exam. I am in the same boat as you are....studying for naplex.....this is my strategy....hope it is good enough.....good luck pharmaintern
  7. Hi upperna I am from houston. i am taking my exam in the beginning of nov. How is your studying going? What is your study plan? Pharmaintern
  8. Thank you for your advice rxcapsule and imdur. I sure appreciate it!!! I heard that prontopass cards or something....are good review.....what do you guys think at this point? pharmaintern
  9. Hello everyone, I am not sure if anyone out there is in the same boat as I am or if I need to deperately change my studying pattern!!! First let me tell you....studying for NAPLEX is making me go crazy. I have been studying on and off for the past one month and I have about a month to go for the exam. At this point....I am not even sure if I will be ready for the exam in the next 3 months. I am strictly following only APHA....for pharmacology. Math from APHA, SHaroff, and some examples here and there. My problem is pharmacology. After about a month...I would expect to know atleast the classes of drugs.....in each disease condition.......but that is not the case with me and I desperately need some sugggesitons......I am going crazy with my memory. I am not sure if I am following the right method to study....or if there is such a thing! This is what I had planned to do....APHA, MAth from various, Kaplan questions( I will start in 1 week), Pre naplex. Should I keep to it....or should I make any changes? I am confused and I am about to loose hope!!!!! PLEASE.....PLEASE....HELP!!!! Pharmaintern
  10. HI ramalla congratulations!!! I am planning to take NAPLEX soon. I think my problem area is MAth. From looking at the previous posts....I am guessing that APHA and CPR are enough for MATH....but I am still not comfortable...if I will be good enough in the exam....can you suggest any other book for math problems? Also....I have a hard time with adverse reactions.....please let me know how to go about....what is important...as an over all opinion! Thank you! Pharmaintern
  11. Hello itphrx I am preparing for NAPLEX too. I am following APHA mostly...with CPR as a second reference. Appleton and Lange is a good review too and important! What state are you in? Pharmaintern
  12. Hello, I was reading antibiotics chapter from APHA's. I have a difficult time remembering the spectrum of activity for the antibiotics. I was wondering if someone could direct me on this matter. If anyone has a method they used to remember the spectrum....I would really appreciate if you can share that with me. Can any one tell me exactly what to concentrate on in antibiotics? Thank you! Pharmaintern
  13. Hi Samkhat You don't have to send forms for NAPLEX and MPJE together....but I did....then you get your ATT which is valid upto 1 yr. You have to take the exams with in that year. If you can clear your exams within 3 months you can continue with your internship....other wise you have apply for extended intern application....so you can do your internship after you complete your exams. The application process may take up 4 wks. I hope this was helpfull. Good luck! Pharmaintern
  14. HI Kumarukutty The latest APHA is its 3rd edition! Pharmaintern
  15. Thanks for the advice eager pharmacist Good Luck tomorrow! MPJE is a very simple exam so don't worry too much!! Pharmaintern
