  1. I think that 365C30 will be greater than 1 a number. Some this not right here...
  2. Can someone please solve this problem : Assuming there are 365 days in a year. What is the probability that atleast 2 out of 30 people selected will have their birthdays on the same day.
  3. another vote for D reason "not ...nor"
  4. What schools are you planning to apply depends on that too. If you wish to apply to SCU a 590 should do for a part time MBA in the Bay - Area.
  5. would pick "during which" for 1 and "in that" for the second.
  6. I took my GMAT for the first time and scored 500 and on my second attempt scored 610 So its just hard work , practise and determination to do it. Just study what are u getting wrong and why. Make notes of it and regularly participate in the forum. Dont re-take it in a haste . Take the exam only when your confident and consistent in your practise score. I just used Kaplan and Princeton Review plus TEST MAGIC which rocks !
  7. I too got the same score last month and was extremely happy with my score.
  8. If you have the right experience 620 is not so low a score for ISB. They too need students to run their operations keep that in mind. I'm positive you will get in.
  9. What your GMAT score and overall profile ?
  10. Its very much recognized in the valley and the career placement is good enough. Its value for money type of MBA and classes are held in the evenings and saturdays (for weekend MBA program). I have couple of friends who did their MBA from SJSU and had no problems in job placement later on . ITs a decent school and extremely practical.
  11. Take it again if you not confident. I just gave it again last month. I previously scored a 500 and in my second attempt I got 610.
  12. San Jose State too has an excellent MBA program and recognized locally around. Santa Clara fee's are way too high its around $48K for entire program and SJSU is around $7-$10K . You have to consider ROI too specially if you are doing MBA in a non-finance field.
  13. San Jose State will give you acceptance even at GMAT score of 500 or apply at Cal State Hayward which has high acceptance rate. Try at Cal State Hayward and you will get the acceptance for their MBA program for sure. San Jose State doesnt have 50% verbal criteria I'm positive about it.
  14. If you redo it ..they will take the most recent/latest score.
  15. With hard work and patience you can crack the GMAT. Its just having a positive attitude towards the test and keeping your nerves. If you panic during the exam you have given up and lost the battle as its as simple as that. I think so a score of 700 is easily achievable if you participate at testmagic forums and practise. All the best for your next attempt and you will get your dream score.
  16. after my first attempt , I just gave up and started preparing again from Jan this year. I prepared for 7 weeks for my second attempt. I'm working full time so could study only 2-3 hr on weekdays and 6-7 hours during weekend. Gave 4 prep test: Kaplan Test1 : 550 Kaplan Test2 : 550 Princeton Review1 : 710 Princeton Review2 : 700 Actual ETS score : 610 I guessed 4-5 questions on verbal during the end..may be I could have improved by score by 20-30 points.
  17. Just came out of the test center and scored a 610 [dance] Well my score is not the best in this forum but enough to satisfy my goal. This was my second attempt , I scored a 500 in my first attempt and was extremely dissappointed with myself. About my background , I'm an engineering manager working for one of the fortune 500 company and have over 6 years of industrial experience and GPA of 3.7. What are my chances for admission in a decent school. I'm extremely thankful to Erin and members of this forum you kept motivating me for a second attempt. This is a major break through for me from 500 to 610. Also will the school consider my second attempt as negative
  18. E is the closest , I think something is wrong with the source
  19. This is my reasoning : 3 in each team , total 6 team Hence each person from a team can handshake with (18-3) 15 other people from other 5 teams (3 in each) Hence each candidate from the 6 team can have 15 handshakes. Overall handshakes is 18 * 15 = 270 What am i doing wrong here ?
  20. There are three reps from each of the six companies. in how many ways can they shake hand, without shaking hands with their colleagues from the same company?
  21. would pick D (comparing acceleration between two cars)
  22. Set T is an infinite sequence of positive integers. A "superset" is a sequence in which there is a finite number of multiples of three. Is T a superset ? 1) The first six integers in T are multiples of three 2) An infinite number of integers in T are multiples of four
  23. Was the month in which Mona was hired January ? 1) She was hired the second week of the month 2) A day in April was exactly 100 calendar days after the day mona was hired
  24. I dont know whats wrong in D for the first one. Second case , which refers to "abuse" which is correct and affects the "business costs" Hence for second one B is correct choice.
