  1. Meetaneja, are you crazy? why do you want to engage in such practices to cheat the system? It will put Testmagic, a fantastic site, in jeopardy. There are several other sites which do such stuff and I'm sure if you google you will find them.
  2. Cool. good to hear about your progress. I am still working on the apps. No encouraging news yet!
  3. hey, howz it going? how was the test?
  4. No good news yet. dinged by Kellogg. I have others in the pipeline. fingers and toes crossed. giving GMAT was so much easier!
  5. a good job will not only boost your chances but will get you some much needed maturity.
  6. Anupam, congrats on your score. there are many things to be considered before going for an MBA. if circumstances prevent you from taking a job, atleast read the book by Richard Montauk - how to get into a top MBA program. BTW, the application process is anything but a numbers game. Good Luck.
  7. Hey there, yes it is possible. i got your PM's but cant reply back to you because your mailbox is full.
  8. use manhattan sc for verbal. and TM for verbal practice. it is certainly desirable to get 700+, but having a good unique profile [work exp, undergrad, leadership skills] is more important to get into the top schools.
  9. hangptt, i was at HBS Open House and they were talking about some toefl scores and they clearly mentioned a cut-off score. so verify with the schools and re take TOEFL if necessary.
  10. scroll down on this very page and you will see "Archive".
  11. Congrats on the score. your score is good. concentrate on the apps. 700 to 740 wont make any difference if your app is not good.
  12. in a similar boat but not to that destination
  13. Cool!!! if you do take that route, pls do print one extra green card for me. thnx!
  14. 680 is very close to most GMAT averages for part-time program. the score wont keep you out.
  15. You are getting it all wrong. You will show serious lack of focus if you retake GMAT. GMAT is only a small part of the over all application package. First read a book on applying to Top MBA Programs, see what they are looking for and see what you have to offer. the desi system of accepting students based JUST on score doesnt work for the Top MBA programs. You need to improve your work experience - super important. You need to show extreme examples of leadership and maturity in your 26months of experience. how much of your leadership qualities are shown in GMAT? - NONE!
  16. plenty of cases out there where applicants have got rejected by schools with higher acceptance rate and accepted by schools with lower acceptance rate. It is a very deceiving number. If the number was broken down and they showed acceptance rate by demographic, work background, industry, etc it would be very helpful. Their website is a good place to start. Then ofcourse there are plenty of blogs , visiting the school and finally scan their website for opportunity to talk to current students. Also you can email students directly requesting info. go to clearadmit.com and see their analysis of school essays. That offers good insight on what the school is looking for.
  17. scho, thanks for the suggestion. I did review the "moving to Canada" option but didnt find it appealing. I am looking at both options [part and full time] and both will take me where I want to be thru different paths. CABS and SCHO, if you are not married then you have one more option!
  18. i dont think it is low for the top 15. your gmat score is only a small part of the whole application package.
  19. Sets dont necessarily have tough questions. jj's do. in testmagic, go on the sub-forums [DS or PS] and search for highly viewed, highly replied forums. They are mostly the best ones. Other option is to track posts made by users like manish8109 or sdasar. I used to follow them because they always solved the difficult questions. check their old posts. also check 4gmat.com
