  1. Yep, they gave me the same fellowship package that they offered to all the kids who were admitted earlier. I was surprised tho.
  2. Hey guys, Princeton took me off the waitlist today! I was so excited~ I have withdrawn from the NYU and NWU waitlists. Good luck everyone!
  3. At this point, my main interest is in applied micro, most likely in labor. Following previous literature (a.k.a TM posts), I would rank the waitlists as follows: princeton > northwestern > nyu... but I will take whatever I have, if any at all, at the end of this week:idea:.
  4. No, I didn't post my waitlist status . Anyway, this whole waitlist sh*t is killing me especially if you consider the fact that I have three...
  5. Yep, that's correct. FYI, I also emailed Northwestern and Princeton today. I haven't heard from NW yet but Princeton said that it looks like they might need to go into the waitlist this year. But they didn't specify when they will notify pple on the list. Finger crossed for everyone on the list!
  6. Hey, I got my waitlist notice on Mar. 23rd. I don't know if this really matters tho. I emailed the department today and they said that they are getting a lot of acceptance this year from the admitted students, which is obviously bad for the folks on the waitlists. They said that there is "some chance" that they will touch the waitlist at the end of this week. Oh, also, I tried to ask them about my rank on the list but they didn't answer me... anyway, I hope this helps and good luck to everyone on the list~
  7. I am on the list too and I haven't heard anything yet :(
  8. I strongly agree with Starvingecon in that connections matter, especially if you come out of a small college (I know this because I am from an LAC). Besides that, my suggestion is that if possible you should try to take some graduate level econ and/or math. Lac courses are generally regarded as "softy" (at least I think so). So doing well in those grad level courses can signal sth positive to the adcom.
  9. I went to the open house, too. I was also disappointed by the partial placement record that they showed us. One-more-econ basically said all I have to say about my visit. :D
  10. I didn't email them. The secretary forwarded me an email from Prof. David Pearce saying that I am waitlisted.
