  1. MGMAT_WIZARD, What is your feeling about the 1 day workshops? The last two GMAT tests I scored 640, with no real weakness in either verbal or quant. I've practiced probably every GMAT problem at least twice (OG10, OG11, Quant and Verbal workbooks). Do you think the individual workshops may be able to help? Thanks
  2. I am not sure I agree with your statement natedog, "You better downplay your military service because the academic elite are basically anti-military and anti-American. " On the contrary, being a former military officer and a West Point graduate, I have found that top five schools are delighted to have military officers in their classes because military officers bring real world leadership experiences that no one else in the class has. This is even more true with military officers that have recently served in combat. Top schools are looking for well rounded leaders and they know that military officers are exposed to real world leadership scenarios that hardly anyone in their peer group has experienced. Of course I am a little biased, but that has been my assessment and all of my classmates assessments that are at Standord, Harvard, and basically every top 10 school in the US. Now of course you don't want to talk just about your military experience, again you have to show that you are well rounded.

  6. Each employee of Company Z is an employee of either Division X or Division Y, but not both. If each division has some part-time employees, is the ratio of the number of full-time employees to the number of part-time employees greater for Division X than for Company Z? (1) The ratio of the number of full-time employees to the number of part-time employees is less for Division Y than for Company Z (2) More than half of the full-time employees of Company Z are employees of Division X, and more than half of the part-time employees of Company Z are employees of Division Y
  7. GMAT-HELP, I am sorry but I am having a problem understanding your solution. Specifically the items bolded and in red above. Thanks
