  1. Choice B sounds correct, however, in B I think the verb tense needs to be past perfect, "... country had contributed since 1890...". Current form implies that this statement, and action, continues on (March 2000 Census Bureau survey showed). So A might be the correct choice. Anyone disagrees?
  2. Thanks. Careless mistake on my part.

    5^x - 5^(x-3) = (124)(5^y), what is y in terms of x? A. x B. x - 6 C. x - 3 D. 2x + 3 E. 2x + 6 Can someone please explain. Thanks.

  6. Total length = 5 * 124 = 620 Since median length is 140 and you need the max length of the shortest piece of wood, then the shortest length of the two longer pieces can be 140 and 140. Now you have three pieces each with the length of 140. 620 - (140 * 3) = 200 200 left for the the two shorter pieces. The max length of the shortest piece can be 100 (200 / 2). So the 5 pieces are: 100, 100, 140, 140, 140.

If the manufacturer produced 1,000 video cameras in 1993, how many video cameras did the manufacturer produce in 1995? (1) xy = 20 (2) x + y + (xy/100) = 9.2 Can someone please explain this one.
