  1. Hi all I've offered a job in US and I will be moving there in November. My profile is not great ( GPA exactly 3.0 )but I have been working for the last 5 years in computer networking industry and hold a double CCIE ( the reason I was offered the job). Once there, I plan to complete my MS. I am looking for a online/distance learning program because I will have a full time job. Programs that can accommodate full time professionals. ( flexibility in completing the courses as well as available online) Also, since my field is computer networking , I am looking for relevant programs. NSCU offers one but I cannot find any other program. I am preparing for GRE and I am good at tests and hoping to get 1400 plus in GRE. I have 115 in TOEFL. Can anyone suggest some good programs related to my field , which could be offered online and not impossible to get into. I will be waiting for the feedback from the learned users here. Please reply.

  6. Lolzz... answer is 81 without the box around it ... and 81 is 27*3 right. so with a boz answer is 27 :D
  7. Lolzz It took main one second to answet this. All are basic number properties. and distributive holds only if both sides are multiplied by same number. Simple as that.
  8. Good explanations but here is aother point that reaffirms answer as E Remember we are talking about the example of a phenomenon, a phenomenon that results in a certain action. Thus answer would be the one that quotes instances that exhibit that phenomenon. A) It is wrong because brains and neurons are not examples of the phenomenon for the reason explained above B) It is wrong again because here we are talking about mice and canaries. C) Wrong again. Neurons and brains :D D) They is referring to neurons that is wrong E) The right answer ( brain growth, and increase in neurons are both instances or happenings depicting a phenomenon)

I got 760, 770 and 770 in three tests :D and still i am clueless about so manythings. Iknow this is not the place, but if you can pm me, I shall be thankful
  12. the answer is 26. The approach by man on moon is for prime factors. If word prime isn't mentiond, I think we should all consider 1 as a factor too.
  13. 138 Billion is 82% of total capacity let x be total capacity 132b/x = ).82 x= 132b/0.82 = 168 b approx Before rainfall total reservoir had 124 b gallon hence it was ( 168-124=44) gallon short Answer E
  14. 5 and -4 are consecutive ? i think answer should be 1 as when arranged, only -1 and 3 are in consecutive order
  15. Yeah most of the times in above situations plugging in provides a very fast solution. My technique is that if the algebric workaround appear to be hectic, that is appearing to take more than 2 minutes than i plug in. Otherwise i solve the question and double check MY ANSWER using plugging in the value for my answer. Which I believe takes somewhat around 10 to 30 seconds.
  16. i didn't get it at all :( Manish plx explain in detail
  17. right ... My bad ... I should have drawn the figure on paper. Thankyou
  18. Plz explain in detail how you calculated the area of hexagon Because I dont think that its 6 equilateral triangles. I think the area of hexagon shall be calculated as i did in the attached figure.
  19. Lolzzz On a question like this, only plain brute forced solutions are effective. :D BTW, I think GMAC people sometimes throw in stupid questions. Instead of testing quant skill of a person they only try to show how tricky they can get:rolleyes:
  20. Thanks Manish That is a really nice explanation. I just couldn't figure out the "EVEN" connection :hmm: Thanks a lot
  21. In a certain game, each player scores either 2 points or 5 points. If n players score 2 points and m players score 5 points and the total number of points scored is 50, what is the least possible +ve difference between m and n? A) 1 B) 3 c) 5 D) 7 E) 9 I have sold the question with number picking in 30 minutes  . Can somebody come up with a better solution. I'll disclose the answer after a few posts. Thank you
  22. Thank you all . The Official Answer is E . Hence 0 is and shall be considered as multiple of all numbers in GMAT P.S This becomes an important Flash-card point :grad:
  23. If x is a prime number what is the value of x? 1) x is less than 15 2) (x-2) is a multiple of 5 Now statement 1 is clearly insufficient, so is statement 2 . by combining both we can narrow down the choice to either 7 or 2 . I wanted to know if 0 is considered a multiple of 5 because if it is the answer is E because we have two value that satisfy both statements. Otherwise the answer is C . Kindly help me out.
