  1. This is a modification of one of the problems already posted. I am trying to understand how to solve these types of problems. A Four digit safe code does not contain the digits 1 and 4 at all. What is the probability that it has at least three even digit? Answer and explanation of how to solve is appreciated.

  5. Consider the two cases 1. x is positive => sqrt(x^2)/x = x/x = 1 2. x is negative => sqrt(x^2)/x = x/(-x) = -1 Note: sqrt(x^2) denotes the non negative sqrt of x^2 That's why the answer is E.
