  1. 620. I'm happy with going to Vanderbilt. It will get me where I want to be.
  2. I'm happy. From what I gathered from admissions people, Vanderbilt's GMAT scores of admitted apps after the first round hovered at a 665; 20 points higher than last years average. This may be true with all schools across the board. I feel lucky to have snuck in with a lower GMAT score. Of all the schools I have visited, Vanderbilt impressed me with their culture.
  3. 1)Eat nutritious food and exercise. 2)Note Cards 3)Don't over study. My recommendations

    solutions above seem too complicated. 1) x=4k+3 Create a table k=1,2,3,4 x=7,11,15,19 Don't have info on X => Insufficient 2) y=4k+2 Create a table K=1,2,3,4 Y=6,10,14,18 Don't have info on Y => Insufficient Together: Create another table picking X and Y XY = 42, 110, etc... Divide XY by 4. 42/4 r=2 110/4 r=2 I stop here. Answer is C
  5. What I know is that Texas is like it's own little country. It's all about texas football. A&M and UT-Austin are big reputable schools in the eyes of Dallas corporations. Very few places in Dallas will pay a premium for degrees from the elite schools in the NE. For Dallas, SMU is as good as it gets. I'm from Dallas and plan to stay in Dallas. If I got a degree from Cornell and brought it back to Dallas immediately after graduation, I'll be on equal footing as an SMU grad. The NE names do not mean much for Dallas. The only downside is I'm stuck in Dallas.
  6. I got accepted 620 GMAT 3.5 GPA w/ 40k scholarship
  7. I'm also looking at Private Wealth Management. I believe it is less competitive to get in than I-banking or portfolio management. With an MBA from the top 25, many banks are hiring future associates to groom them into relationship managers. If you don't come from the top 25, you may end up in a poor training program at some regional firm where you're peddling financial products over the phone to middle class people. Many are set up for failure. Private wealth management internship with JPMORGAN or DEUTSCHE BANK are the best places for training.
  8. got into SMU with 40k scholarship. 620 GMAT 3.5 GPA 29 years old
  9. I can't these type of questions. I hit a wall on the verbal where my mental wheels do not turn quick enough to battle through these questions. This is my thought. e) Drivers on other state highways (Out of scope. ) c) We cannot infer likeliness with "numbers of" I don't know about the rest. B was my wild guess.
  10. Kaplan's OE is A I think it is a whack answer and a horrible question.
  11. San Fransiscans of the 1890s mocked the claim that declared Los Angeles a world city, yet within twenty years a powerful municipal will had made this boast a reality. a) same b) yet within twenty years a powerful municipal will made this boast a reality c) yet a powerful municipal within twenty years will make this boast a reality d) yet this boast had become a reality within twenty years because of a powerful will municipally e) yet within twenty years a municipalwill had made this boast a powerful reality This is a tough one.
  12. "Yes indians do work hard, but remember it is life or death for many of them. " This is a reality check for me. I clocked in 4 hours of studying each day the past week. It is Thursday and I will take a GMATprep exam today. I will look through my flashcards Friday and relax. I am going to take the test Saturday morning and bring a nutra grain bar and a red bull for my break. wish me luck.
