  1. Hello, I just applied for an intership license in Michigan. My questions to any of you who has begun internship are 1) Can I start looking for internship jobs now (with FPGEC certificate only) or do I need to wait until I get the license? 2) How do I look for the internship - sending applications online? Thanks in advance!
  2. Hello, I just applied for the internship license. Can I start applying for intern jobs now (with FPGEC certificate) or do I need to wait until I get the intern license (they say it takes upto 6 weeks). Thanks!
  3. Congratulations, Pharmacist2005!!! I want to take naplex first before I do the internship since I can't do the internship right now.. So I could follow your instruction to take it in Texas instead of in the state where I live. Do you know how many times a year do they offer naplex and how long (roughly) do you think I need to study (if I can study 4 hours a day)? And what is ATT? Thanks!!
  4. Hi lighthouse and ninah, How is it going, Lighthouse? I hope everything is going okey. I still don't understand. It looks like lighthouse graduated before 2003, but why do they have a problem with lighthouse's 4-year degree??

Thanks Pharmalady for your information. I'm actually in Michigan and we have to do the internship first to be able to sit for Naplex. I'm thinking about taking the Naplex first in Texas since I'm not ready to start the internship.. When I checked the Michigan board website, it looked like that I could transfer the Naplex results from other states.. My question is how often is Naplex offered in a year, do you know the exam dates? Also could you tell me the exact URL for the international pharmacist website? Fafy, I remember you from fpgee forum. Congrats on your success so far. I think I got a lot of help from you when I was getting my documents together to sit for FPGEE.. I also passed fpgee and ibt.. I havn't sent the toefl results yet (the toefl site was giving me a trouble), I'll just have to fax it.. Good luck to your search for the internship!

Hi Congrats on your internship offer. I'm wondering how you can take the Naplex six weeks after the internship? Which state are you in? In that state you can sit for Naplex before you meet the requirement of Internship hours? How often is Naplex offered in a year? I just got throgh the FPGEE+toefl ibt so I have lots of questions.. Thank you in advance!
  7. Hi my score also has been changed from 23 to 26 by rescoring. I'm so grateful for the forum since I heard about rescoring here. I wouldn't have known otherwise. My grade for the speaking was changed from fair-fair-good to good-good-fair. This really says that the score depends on the rater. I didn't think my answers were 'perfect' but I didn't make any major mistake either. So I think people really should try rescoring if they feel good/ok about their performance and still get 23/24.. Good luck to you all!
  8. Hi I just got my toefl ibt required score. I passed FPGEE last June. I'll ask ETS to repor my score to NABP/FPGEC. Is that all I need to do get the FPGEC certificate? What do I have to do to get the Michigan internship licene that you are talking about? I live in Michigan.. Also I thought the FPGEC certificate doesn't have expiration but the state intern license do expire?? I was thinking about not doing the internship right away since I have other job but I better do it right away since the state internship will expire? Thanks!
  9. Sorry to hear what happend to you, Bang. Our test (in Michigan) has also been cancelled in Dec 15 but we had a new test date on Jan 5. They called us to notify the new test date and most of us went and took the exam (I could recognize the same people that I saw on Dec 15). I would called them and send them email again so that you can take the test asap. Good luck to you!
  10. Hello Lighthouse, I'm so confused about your case. Did you graduage from your pharmacy school before or after 2003? Good luck to you in your pursue, by the way..
  11. Hello everybody, I'm in Michigan too. I passed the FPGEE last June and waiting for the result for Toefl. I've heard that we need to do internship first before taking the NAPLEX and MPJE. Is that correct in Michigan or is there a way to take those before we do the intership? And could you tell me the approx. pay for the interns in Michigan? Thank you
  12. We couldn't take the test either in Michigan last Saturday. The toefl site doesn't say anything. Is calling them the only way to reschedule my test?
  13. Hello, Thanks for the reply. I've already found one speaking partner. Since I'm working full time it's hard for me to find extra time to practice with multiple people. You two could contact each other and practice together. Good luck to both of you!! Regarding the book, if you don't have problem with other sections than speaking, I think Delta book is good. I recently bought it so I havn't used it very much yet but it does seem to have a lot of practice questions for speaking section. Good luck again!
  14. Hi, I just registered for Dec 15 test and I'm looking for a speaking partner. I'd prefer a foriegn pharmacy graduate since we have the same goal.. We need to get 26 for speaking, which seems crazy:crazy: I never thought that I'll have a trouble with toefl, since I took toefl more than 15 years ago when it had only sections like grammar, reading and listening.. I talk slow even in my own native language so 45-60 seconds is so crazy?!? Anyway, I'm looking for somebody who can practice speaking in the morning (EST).
  15. Hi I'm planning to take the toefl ibt and wondering if any of you had a good/bad experience in any test center in Michigan. I can go to Flint, Ann Arbor, or Lansing. Your experience will help me a lot! I need to get 26 in Speaking so I'm thinking the environment of the test center (noise level, etc) will be important..
  16. Hello, No, I just passed the fpgee last June so I'm just one step ahead of you. I'll need to take toefl, do intern, etc. I work full time now and I havn't yet totally decided to quit my current job so I'll just try to get the intern license and then think about it.
  17. Hi I remember that I posted the same question about cpr.. It stands for "Comprehensive Pharmacy Review" by Leon Shargel et al. You can buy it at amazon. Amazon.com: Comprehensive Pharmacy Review: Books: Leon Shargel,Alan H Mutnick,Paul F Souney,Larry N Swanson I think it took a couple of month to get the approval, and it could take more or less than that. For books that people use you can check the thread http://www.www.urch.com/forums/fpgee/73570-lets-post-study-material-we-used-next-test-takers.html Different people used different books, but there are common ones so it may help you. I just know internship hours are around 1000 hrs. I just think that doing an intern will help us to adjust in US system so I don't think it will be a waste of time.. Hope it helps and good luck to you!
  18. Hi I saw many people wrote what they used to prepare for the test, but why don't we post them here again for the next test takers? Material that I used: CPR Shroff 1000 Q and A Shroff management Pharmacology tests in the internet Programs available (I felt pretty good in pharmacology section during the exam) Areas that I wasn't confident: Management: I think other people who used selected chapters in Remington were more prepared. Statistics: I had to guess for all statistics questions, and I think somebody in this forum suggested a powerpoint material on Statistics. Good luck!!
  19. Thanks MedCaribo for answering all of our questions:) I forgot to say that I'm in USA. When I looked at the ETS website, it seemed like ibt is the only choice. Is that true? Thanks
  20. Congrats! I'm a bit confused about TOEFL requirement.. Can we still take TSE/TOEFL in USA or we have to take TOEFL ibt? Thanks

    Finally I passed!

Congratulations, Lara!! I wish sucess and all the best in your career!!
  22. Hi I passed with 129. Thank God and all the past and present forum members for the help. I honestly wasn't confident after the test. I used CPR, Manon management, 1000 Q, and some internet based questions. I was sure of 65% of the morning question, and 50% of the afternoon question. I felt very bad about the management part, since the questions seemed to me so unrelevant. Even though I got high enough score, I'd advise next test takers to read some more about the management part other than Manon (I'm not sure what). I work full time and have two kids, but I tried to study 3-4 hrs a day since January (Thanks to my husband!). Thanks so much everyone!
  23. Thank you so much for the reply, Akres. Does that mean we can renew "forever" as long as we are a US resident? What about the passing FPGEE score, is it valid forever of we need to get intern license within limited time? Thanks!
  24. Hello, I know a couple of you called NABP and got various responses but I called NABP to check what's going on now. They told me that they will send the results either tomorrow or next Monday.
