Thanks for the encouragement guys. This is my advice. I think that Kaplan is decent in that it prepares you for general material that will be tested on the GMAT. I find that Kaplan math questions are pretty formulaic, in that if you pratice a lot, you will do well (I'm not saying I did well on Kaplan). Some are hard and time consuming. Doing these questions will help, but I think the GMAT quant takes it to a higher level. You can't just plug in a formula or translate variables. The best practice you can get is from the GMATPrep CDs. Of course, people who are strong in math may find this different. Also, I find that GMATPrep is very indicative of the score you might potentially get on the real exam.
I wish I had more time to study, but I basically studied for 1.5 months and used the material below. I did as many problems as I could in one day...I think I averaged maybe 70 problems a day (usually 10 questions for each type of problem) to get myself into a rhythm.

I thought the quant section on the test was slightly harder than GMATPrep. Like many people, I kind of freaked out in the beginning. I thought the first question is suppose to be of medium difficulty, but I got some ridiculous question that I spent 7 min on. I also spent over 5 min on the 2nd question. After that, I had to guess a lot to make up for lost time.
I usually do better in verbal, so I approached this kind of slow. My mentality was that I wanted to get everything right to make up for quant. Don't do this!!! I ran out of time at the end and just had to guess the last 3 questions. I'm sure that didn't help my score too much.
Anyway, I'm thinking of retaking it again. What additional material do you guys suggest besides the Manhattan SC (i've heard a lot of positives)? How is the OG Quant and Verbal?
