    CVS or Walgreens?

Hi Nina, Congrats for getting call from both chain's. Can you tell me how long it takes to transfer your TOEFL score to NABP and then how long it takes to receive the certificate from NABP? I am in the process and would like to know how long we have to wait for it? Thanks. Root:idea:
  4. Dear Krish, Congratulation for 26 mark:tup: i just want to know that if we dont get 26 points in speaking section then do we have to take whole test again or we can just give speaking section and keep the other section score as it is. Plz let me know thanks rootz

  8. Dear All, I did this program in Agu 06 last year and it is 5day intensive program but atthat time it was more focussed on Naplax then FPGEE...the material they provide was also focussed on Naplex...they had 4 days of Naplax review and 1 and1/2 day of FPGEE review program.Again it;s review program and not the coaching program so you are expected to come prepare for review to clarify your doubts. The main benefits was to meet lots of students who has given FPGEE in the past so if u r giving it for 1st time u can learn and know stuff from their experience. Although we have asked Midwestern program coordinator to change the program pattern and make it more FPGEE oriented,if you are interedsted u can call them and take the details...but in my view u should attain it if u have read shargel atleast once. Good luck Rootx
  9. Dear All, Thank you very much for your help and support....i passed FPGEE.This forum is excellent source of information and knowledge. I am always available for anyhelp and info require by anyone on forum. I am taking TOFEL in coming days so plz let me know anyone is taking TOFEL in near future. Thanks a lot Rootx

    Amine basicity

Dear Charry Thanks for the answer, r u coming to chicago for the exam All the best Rootz

    Amine basicity

Dear friends I am really confuse about amine basicity and Q 39 of blueprint/ As per book secondary amine shoud be more basic then tertiery amine and primary.Specially when tertiery amine has bulky group arond it which hinderce its ability to donate electrone. I dont know but i am confused so plz explin reply. thanks and all the best Rootx
  13. Dear All, May god bless us all with success and glory. I am looking forward to see u all on D-day at chicago...dear fizzbizz lets decide how to meet, may be the 1 hr break or after exam we all can meet. best wishes rootx
  14. Dear Fizzbizz Thanks for all your helps and support to the forum, your contribution is really remarkable... All the best and god bless:tup:  Rootx
  15. Answe is a)92% I dont know how this is calculated, plz someone in the forum solve this one???cherry/Ohm/King would like to give some inputs here Rootx
  16. Dear All plz see the attached file as i am not able to paste the table here Rootz
  17. Water solubility potential of Fun. Grps when present as mono and poly functional groups Functional Group Monofunctional Polyfunctional Molecule Molecule --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Functional groups Monofunctional Polyfunctional Alcohol 5-6 carbons 3-4 carbons Phenol 6-7 carbons 3-4 carbons Ether 4-5 carbons 2 carbons Aldehyde 4-5 carbons 2 carbons Ketone 5-6 carbons 2 carbons Amine 6-7 carbons 3 carbons Carboxylic Acid 5-6 carbons 3 carbons Ester 6 carbons 3 carbons Amide 6 carbons 2–3 carbons Urea, Carbonate, 2 carbons Carbamate 2 carbons For example compound has chemical formula of C19H19NO4 and it has 3 ethers, 1 phenol and 1 tertiary amine group in it.If we use monofunctiongroup approach then solubility of the carbon would be 29(5+5+5+7+7=29 from table) and the it is greater then no of carbons present in compound so it water soluble(29>19)but as these groups are in same molecule and act as polyfunctional grups and they have intermolecular attraction and forces so we have to calculate the solubility as per polyfunctional groups 2+2+2+3+4= 13 ( as per table) so this is less then total no of carbons(19>13) so compound is in soluble. Remember this is imparical formula and gives idea about the solubility we need to know the general nature of the all grp in order to predict the solubility Acids Acidity (pKa) ---------------------------------------------------- R-SO3H 1 RCOOH 4-5 ArSO2NH-R 6-9 ArOH 8-11 C-N-C || | || 8-10 O H O
  18. Dear All, I am posting this table for predication of Hydorphilicity and lipophilicty for the molecule,it is imperical formula and helps to predict the nature of the molecule.Again this is not the accurate method but works in most of the cases Water solubility potential of Fun. Grps when present as mono and poly functional groups Monofunctional Grops Poly functional grops (Many grps in same campounds) Alcohol - 5-6 carbons 3-4 carbons Phenol6-7 Carbons 3-4 carbons Ether4-5 carbons 2 carbons Aldehyde4-5 carbons 2 carbons Ketone5-6 carbons 2 carbons Amine6-7 Carbons 3 carbon Caroxylic Acid5-6 carbons 3 carbon Ester 6 carnons 3 carbon Amide 6 carbons 2-3 carbons Urea,Carbonat, 2 carbons ( take first no as monofunctioanl grps and second one as poly functional grps as i am not able to make the table here,i will try to do it agin tonight) For example compound has chemical formula of C19H19NO4 and it has 3 ethers, 1 phenol and 1 tertiary amine group in it.If we use monofunctiongroup approch then solubility of the carbon would be 29(5+5+5+7+7=29 from table) and the it is greater then no of carbons present in compound so it water souluble(29>19)but as these groups are in same molecule and act as polyfunctional grups and they have intermolecule attrection and forces so we have to calculate the solubility as per polyfunctiona groups 2+2+2+3+4= 13 ( as per table) so this is less then total no of carbons(19>13) so compound is in soluble. Remember this is imparical formula and gives idea about the solubility we need to know the general nature of the all grp in order to predict the solubility Hope this is helpful......if i am makeing it confusing plz ignore it...
