  6. I work for CVS as an intern. In my area intern pay is $36.70. I don't think this is cheap.
  7. Hi Everybody, I'm a Pharmacist and I work for CVS Pharmacy in Wisconsin. As you guyz know that CVS bought Albertsons couple months ago...so they need lot of Pharmacists. If any of you who are already licensed as a Pharmacist searching for a position in Wisconsin or who can move to Wisconsin can contact me at 847-589-0220. Hourly pay for a Pharmacist is $52 (comes to 110K per year) in Wisconsin. Thank you
  8. Sorry..i didn't check it before but...what pharm2005 said is right. Mine was updated online yesterday and recieved the certificate today...:) . Of course I live in Illinois...i think this is the reason it took only one day to get via mail. And I sent fax 2 times last month...saying that I have an offer in hand but they just need is certificate..so n so...may be that's y they processed fast i think...but..as u know...u can not say anything abt NABP people.
  9. Yeah....I think you may get it any time now...they got my results by June 2005 and yesterday when I searched for my name in NABP website i found it in FPGEC achievement list. That means...mine is on the way home. It took exactly 3 months for me. Finally...i'm relieved now.
  10. ksa is correct. You would need a 5-year Pharmacy degree to be able to work in Illinois. I think the requirement of number of Pharmacy internship hours is 400 and that is part of 5-year degree program. I think the regulations allow you to finish your equivalent 5-year degree in case you don't have one. But, you will need to work with a US university to get your credits transferred. In summary, it is impossible to work as an intern with a four-year degree.
  11. Elsie, Yes, makes sense now.. I'm going to mail my application to WI board today.
  12. Elsie, Thanks a lot for your prompt response. Your help is greatly appreciated. Yes, I did request for an official copy of my academic credentials directly from my school. So, if I understand correctly, I will get the internship permit when I eventually submit 2670 application filled out by the hiring Pharmacist (employer). Have a great weekend..
  13. Elsie and others, Thanks a lot for sharing a lot of useful info on this thread. I'm in the process of applying for an intern permit in the state of Wisconsin, however, I have a couple of questions after review their website and looking at the application paperwork. Can you please answer them when you have a chance. I called the Wisconsin state board several times, but I couldn't get a live person to talk to. 1. What are the fees I need to send as part of the internship application 2. Since I don't have an internship offer from an employer yet, can I send http://drl.wi.gov/dept/forms/fm2670.pdf at a later point. Thanks again for your help.
  14. Check out http://www.nabp.net and perhaps give them a call. They will give you all the instructions specific to your case.

    FPGEE License

CApharmacist, Yes..I'm taking this June exam. I didn't prepare well for the exam. Even I have the same books with me. If u want u can refer Remington for general sciences and management. Heard that Lippincott's pharmacology is good. I have so many frds from Calif.....but all r done with their tests. Sorry! All the best for your exam too!
  16. Hey Prajwala, Kewwwlllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats!! That's really a very good score. Even I took my test on May 15th and waiting for the results. I didn't get it today....hope I will get a good score! BTW where did u take the test?

    FPGEE License

Hi CApharmacist, Yes...luckily I got my [H1]B approved prior to finishing FPGEE. Presently I am in Illinois. As most of people know that one can not work in Illinois unless they have a PharmD. So...I was looking for an Internship position in Indiana (which is near to our place). I spoke with Kmart Pharmacy recruiter one day (in Feb'04) and that's it....I got one....:). All the other Pharmacies asked for FPGEC. But...prolly the rules are changed now...and it's hard to find an intern position even if u have FPGEC in some places. It was the perfect time for me...and now they stopped hiring like that. Just try calling them...and send your resume to all Pharmacies. If they have any positions they will definitely call u back. Even I have to finish 1500 intern hrs b4 taking the board xam (NAPLEX) in Indiana. Wish u all the best!

    FPGEE License

Hey all, I'm new to this forum and taking FPGEE this June. Just finished TOEFL and took TSE last May. But...luckily I got my [H1]B approved few months ago with a start date of Oct 1st with out even clearing FPGEE. Will start intern hrs from Oct. Hope I will clear FPGEE b'fore October. Now I'm waiting for my TSE results. Thanks for all the tips regarding TSE and FPGEE. Wish u all the best!
  21. Even I took my TSE(first time) on May 15th in Chicago. Waiting for my results......
  22. Raj, I found this link on other boards. This will answer some of your questions. From your note, it seemed like you were just under too much pressure and stress your last time. Good luck! Take another shot at the GMAT only after closely working on your weak areas. http://www.markrice.com/gmat/
  23. Lipi, Great score! Thanks for sharing your GMAT experience.

    GMAT Paper Tests

Sportyt, I completely agree with you. $75 for paper tests is so expensive. I bought some stuff on ebay and managed to collect GMAT+ material. Are these paper tests any different from GMAT+ material? I would be grateful if someone is willing to share paper tests with me. I can send you GMAT+, VStudy and 800Score tests in return. Thanks in advance! PS- If I don't find a kind soul, I may just shell out $$ and buy one of the sets. I can then give that set to others for free. So, send me email after a couple of weeks.
  25. I got a 640 in Kaplan diagnostic (Q49 and V in high twenties). Then I took two PRs and scored 650 and 610. Then two days ago, I took test1 of PowerPrep and scored a dismal 570 (Q48 V21). V21 was not convincing at all. Out of 41 questions in Verbal, I got 27 questions correct. The question numbers I got wrong in Quant and Verbal in PP1: o Quant (9 wrong) - 11, 16, 26, 27, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 o Verbal (14 wrong) - 3, 7, 8, 13, 15, 16, 20, 22, 29, 34, 35, 36, 39, 40 My biggest problem during the test was time management. You can see I couldn't get most of the questions correct toward the end of each section. I was running out of time and I had to rush through almost last ten questions on both sections. I also guessed on a few CRs (time consuming for me) toward the end and moved on. From what I analyzed, I think PP penalizes heavily if you commit mistakes at the beginning. See, I made 5 mistakes in the first fifteen starting at 3rd on Verbal! Another thing I noticed was about "experimental" questions. There were 10 q's on Quant and 11 q's on Verbal that were "experimental". So, I am not sure if most of my correct ones on Verbal fell into "experimental" part. Nevertheless, I was still expecting a better raw score on Verbal. This score just hampered my confidence level and I almost gave up on my GMAT hopes. But, on a positive side, this wasn't the real GMAT test. So, I have time to work on my weaknesses. I have closely analyzed what areas I committed mistakes in and narrowed down to CR in Verbal. I got only 4 out of 12 correct. I have now started working on the [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip]. I have to focus primarily on timing. I'd really appreciate if anyone has suggestions on how to improve timing using [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip] questions. I am planning to get a stop watch as someone suggested on this board and clock every question I work on.
