I hope this reply is not too late. I just wanted to help you out with your preparation..Go to Cali and attend the live Passnaplexnow review..or if you cannot join the live one, you can purchase the online review. Whichever you feel better for you. You will definitely ace the naplex next time.Focus on your weak areas. You will be just fine..Good luck to you and wish you all the best...
  2. I believe they have not launched the online version yet... i would love to try for my revision if it is good..
  3. Okay cool nobody wants to give opinion. I go with Stoklosa my final decision..
  4. Could anyone help me decide which book is best for NAPLEX Math. I would like only one reference that would help me understand clearly the solutions on how to arrive answers. There are quite a few selections out there but I would like to at least choose one that is really worth keeping. Guys share your opinions based on what you have used for your preparation. Thanks.
  5. Hello everyone! I need urgent help here. The Boards have approved my internship application and sent me a sample of internship duties and responsibilities, however the setting of the internship I received is in hospital setting only. I would like to know if anyone of you have experienced doing internship in an independent retail pharmacy, perhaps I could get some information regarding what I supposed to write down as my tasks. The employer wants me to write the letter and does not have time to make it. Any help with this matter is greatly appreciated.... Good luck to everyone who still in the process of searching for internship position.
  6. Thank you for giving me an idea. Again, good luck with your next endeavor. I am sure it would be a piece of cake for you.All the best. ski:)
  7. Congratulations pharmacist2009! You really deserved the excellent score that you received mainly because of your hard work. I have a couple of questions for you. First, when you just starting to review for the Naplex test, what study materials did you refer? My point here is that, there are tons of study materials for Naplex preparation, however I believe that I need to brush up first my background knowledge if any :) and try to understand the concept before I can move on to practice questions and other information that needs critical understanding. From your personal experience, do you think it is better to review first the CPR by Shargel knowing that we used that book during our Fpgee preparation and it would be a lot easier to remember information? Could you please share how you approached each preparation material. Did you just study all of the books that you mentioned in your post randomly or in order? I just want to know how I am going to start my review. My next question is about the edition of your calculation book by Ansel and Stoklosa, I remember that I used it back in college, but I am afraid it is not updated anymore. That would be all. Enjoy your success and I wish you all the best for your law exam.
  8. Hello Digitalis, Congratulations! you deserve your success.. You study a lot, I can feel it. I have a question, what edition of Apha you did use during the preparation? How long did it take you to study the entire book (Apha) not including the revision? thanks a lot.
  9. Hello Aman, I am glad to hear from you. Can you do me a favor? Could you send again your skype id using Private message. I believe we are not allowed to post personal information here for privacy purpose. I am looking forward to improving my english skills from you. Thank you.
  10. Is there anyone interested in brainstorming ideas to get 26 in speaking? If so, just send me a private message together with your time zone and skype id. We will discuss the most effective way on how to attack every question. Basically, we will practice at least two hours everyday. Our conversation does not have to be about the toefl most of the time, we can discuss any topics as long as we can express ourselves in comprehensable way. Most importantly, constructive comments are very welcomed since the goal here is to get 26. I live in Central US time zone.
  11. Josh, thank you so much for the effort that you spent on rating my essay. Now, I know the pattern, it just needs a lot of practice. If I could only follow your suggestions, I will definitely pass my exam. Once again, thank you and I do appreciate your help.
  12. Hello, I also need somebody to check my essay. I want to help you, but I do not have enough knowledge in english. Just starting to understand some grammars. Hope somebody could help us rate our essays.
  13. Is there any good samaritan who could help rate and check my essay? I would be happy to find one. Some universities require students to take classes in many subjects. Other universities require students to specialize in one subject. Which is better. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Although most of the students choose universities that require one subject, in my opinion, the best approach is to take many subjects as possible. Studying several subjects could help students learn more knowledge, discover their strengths and weaknesses and help them stay competitive. Students who take several subjects learn more knowledge. A student may not learn other interesting subjects by merely focusing on one subject. A student who takes a calculus subject, would only learn problem solving. On the other hand, a student who takes calculus and english subject at the same time could receive two benefits. He could learn how to solve a problem and perhaps learn the rule of grammars as well. Thus, student who takes several subject has a great opportunity to learn more things. Students who study several subjects could able to discover their hidden abilities. Similarly, they could also discover their weaknesses. A student who tries learning new skills, attending a piano lesson for instance, could help him appreciate music. Eventually, he would loves music and starts to compose a song. He would then discover his unseen abilities. In addition, limited ability could be discovered by taking more than one subjects. Students have to learn the complexities of two subjects. Math and history subject for example, are quite different. Students have to understand both computations and past events. Some students may find one of these subjects hard. By acknowledging their limited knowledge, they could find ways to improve their performance. Students who study several subjects maintain being competitive. They can compete with other students, who have the same level of abilities. This would help students become more motivated. Hence, they are more likely to achieve success than students who prefer to concentrate in only one subject. As I have stated, taking multiple subjects offer a great advantages. Students would learn a lot of valuable information, know their abilities and keep them motivated. Likewise, students who take limited subject are less likely achieve these benefits.
  14. This particular thread is very important especially for test takers who find reading section quite challenging. So, let us continue to help one onother by posting strategies. Here are some lists of additional techniques: 1. Extreme use of words on the sentence such as all, must, none, always, etc. are most of the time wrong answers. However, we do still need to read the passage carefully to avoid mistakes and misunderstandings. 2. If possible work on the difficult question once done answering doable questions--vocabularies; referents/pronouns/nouns (it, them, those, that, etc.), ( I can't think other easy questions) 3. Read every question carefully. Decoding and repharasing questions are helpful as well. 4. On simplifying complex sentences; choices that only repeat or copy the parts of highlighted sentence are most of the time not the right answer. 5. Choosing choices/information that are not mentioned on the passage are generally not the right answer. 6. On summarizing the passage, pay atttention on the given topic and stick into it. Include major details that support the given topic and ignore minor details that not support the topic statement (mostly examples are not included.) 7. Paying attention on the final/last paragraph of the passage is important, because it serves as a conclusion. 8.Knowing the purpose of the passage and its structure helps test taker to follow on the flow of the details/information. We can able to pass the toelf if we help one onother... Hope somebody can post strategies on listening, speaking and writing too...
  15. Hello everybody, I just finished my toefl today (Feb 08), I noticed that questions on reading section had changed. I encountered three or four questions asking about the relationship of two passages. Also, there was a question goes like this: The passage answer all the question,EXCEPT ....and the choices are how, why, what, which was referring to the contents of the passage. One more, I answered like three consecutives questions which was referring to only one passage. This seems stranged. Does anybody noticed this changes?
