  1. Hi Otori, I doubt I can be of much help, I gave GMAT without concentrating on Maths, I just did OG11 & GMAT Prep Maths excercise. Thus I wont be able to suggest time based maths, but otherwise I willl suggest go through Kaplan CD there they have around 4 to 5 test on Problem Solving & data Sufficiency that may help. Otherwise try to get hold of some online free test such as 800score-Test or Crack-GMAT also I feel Princeton has a free diagnostic test available these are the places where you can get more of such tests. Hope this helps Regards Manish
  2. Guys, I was just going through this chain of threads , I have given GMAT on 9th of May & Got 730, but my first attempt last year was 670 & thus I feel that there is no way that one can't improve. Just forget what has happened. I feel the material which is very good is 1 OG 11 2 Kaplan Verbal Workbook 3 GMAT Prep Give 1 after you have finished the Kaplan English Workbook but not started OG & One after finishing OG, it will be a fair assesment mine was 710/720 4 Kaplan CD (It makes you use to writing very tough test your scores will be in the range of 600 - 650 if you are doing very good, but it's worth doing) go through all the tutorials available 5 Most important is go through the Spidey's note & the SC Tips which is present as sticky thread in the SC forum. It's a one stop shop for most of your Verbal queries, you will nto have to go through each thread of forum if you understadn the points mentioned there One Suggestion, if you are not very comfortable in assimilating a lot of information at the same time try avoiding doing multiple things, set yourself deadlines of how many questions per day you will doing from the above mentioned resources, finish them & then move on to next one. With Verbal my experience is that we actually see the answer & feel we have got th explanation in reality we just skim & don't actually try to understand, don't try to mug the points mentioned try to relate to sentences you speak daily or you use in writing, you will start finding the logic behind it. Hope this will help Manish
  3. My GMATPrep Scores were 710/720 with Q 49 in both & Verbal around 38/39 in actual test I was 730 Q48 V 42. Thus I feel it's a fair assesment of you will be scorign around +- 10 to 20 points then GMATPrep chances are if you hold your nerves you will be on the higher side. My Advice since tomorrow is your exam, just don't think a lot & don't get tensed, just before your exam be calm concentrate on intial 10 questions so you don't make mistake & then every other question is equal. I was always having a crunc time in Verbal durign practice but in GMAt I did Maths around 7 mins in advance & Verbal around 5 mins, thus it's keeping your nerves. All the best I am sure you will do good:-)
  4. I have sent my application to IIM C yesterday, will be applying to IIM A & ISB also before moving to US colleges.
  5. Guys, Finish with my GMAT yesterday got 730, feeling happy next step is to shortlist right colleges. Breakup Q 48 V 42 T 730 Time to chill now so in a relax mood, will gear up soon for next level...applying:)
  6. It Started with SC & then I kept on getting around 5 SC back to back with increase level of difficulty, I don't remember exactly but I didn't get any CR questions back to back, although I felt that I was doing CR ok, but as mentioned earlier that fear was always there that am I doing it wrong & thus getting back to CR. Now I realize that they placed those 14-15 CR that way & this is also something which should nto worry you if you see such a pattern getting followed, keep your cool. During my Practice test I was always running a minute or two short in Verbal & had to rush through the last few questions but in actual test I was able to finish my Verbal section 3 minutes well in advance. So guys keep your cool & stick to basics that will see you through.
  7. In Verbal I felt I got a lot of Questions on SC, with CR & RC placed in between, to be true lot of times I was getting a CR question & next as SC & it made me fear whether I am doing the CR wrong & thus getting to SC. To answer your question the difficulty level was 7 on a scale of 1 to 10 but if you are through with the OG (your analysis I mean) you should be pretty much in. One Important point I will like to stress, don't get depressed if you are not doing good in the Kaplan test. I gave 4 Kaplan FL & always got score in the range of 600 to 620, your realistic estimate will be the GMATPrep where I scored 710 & 720 Make sure to go through the Spidey's note & the SC Tips on this forum they are of utmost importance
  8. Praneet, there is no Soft Copy for OG you will have buy that from market, the GMATPrep you can download from mba.com it's to big to be sent in a mail. For soft copies you can check the Spideys note & SC Tips available on this site.
