  1. n=(2*3*5*7*11*13)/77k can be broken down to 77= 7*11 .. Cancel out the 7 and the 11 and your left with 390/k=n. the only number that works is 26.
  2. i understand how you arrived at (1-x)^2*x^2, but what is the question asking? Thanks
  3. But where are you getting a^n=64 if you arent using #1 as well?
  4. yeah good catch SunSan....very sneaky
  5. I know that problem.. its not 10% of the red toys are small, its 10% of the toys are red and small. that's where ur getting mixed up.
  6. when m is an odd number, multiply by three. so 9*3= 27; when m is an even number divide it by two, so 6/2=3. 27*3=81. was that the answer?
  7. I just got it. (1/108+1/108+1/108+1/108)x=1. 4x/108=1. x=108/4. x=27.
  8. Can anyone write out the complete equation for the following: Three machines can finish a cerain work in 36 hours at the same rate. If a 4th machine with the same rate is added in, what is the time to finish the work? And just out of curiousity, what would the equation be if the 4th person was twice as fast as the other 3. Thanks agop
  9. (x+y)*(x-y) is the only two that will have that product. Prob of x+y or x-y is 2/4 or 1/2. prob of getting x+y or x-y on the next random pull is 1/3 . 1/2* 1/3 = 1/6 I believe this is correct
