Diya SOrry this is an old thread but I have a question. In the below equation 95 =75+60 -x (subtract x as it has already been included in 75+60) How come you did not include people who only have desktops? Are you assuming they are none? Thanks

Thanks Biddle. Could you elaborate why it wasn't worth the money? Was the instructor not good or was the material covered too basic? Thanks!

two GMATPREP q´s: remainder - ratio
gmatnaive2 replied to jonnysunn's topic in GMAT Data Sufficiency
When positive integer n is divided by 3, the remainder is 2; and when positive integer t is divided by 5, the remainder is 3. What is the remainder when the product nt is divided by 15? 1). n-2 is divisible by 5 2). t is divisible by 3 1) If n-2 is divisible by 5, then n is not divisible 5, means n is not divisible by 5 or 3 or 15. We know from stem that t is not divisible by 5, therefore nt not divisible by 15 but taking remainder of t/5 as 3 nt/15 gets different remainders. NOT SUFF 2) NOT SUFF 1 & 2 = we know that when n is divided by 15 the remainder is 2 (from 1). so n could be 32. t is divisible by 3 but not by 5, so t could be 48 or 63. so nt/15 will always have remainder 2. IMO E. The argument states that the trees will become extinct because 5000 needed to produce 1kg of drug. But if trees are inaccessible than they cannot be used. Will remain intact.

The first one: The taxpayer's objection is based on economic reasons, saying the cost of construction is too high. The official refutes it by saying "The use of de-icing salt causes corrosion of the reinforcing steel in concrete bridge decks and damage to the concrete itself, thereby considerably shortening the useful life of concrete bridges." In other words because the life is short, either the concrete bridges need to be rebuilt sooner or maintained at a higher cost. So cost of concrete bridges eventually > than ECC. Ans: A

B says - cooperative exchange of ideas is necessary for their (computer professionals) work. hierarchical work environment hinders cooperative exchange and leads to dissatisfaction. Summit corp has a non hierarchical work environment that makes the professionals happy. Thus less switching. In D discussion of dissatisfaction is irrelevant. HTH

IMO the first one is A. If K = XYZ, Z being the non zero units digit, then XYZ +9 will always carry over 1 to the tens digit which is Y. So Y + 1 = 3 (given tens digit of K+9 is 3), so Y is 2. Statement 2: By the same logic, Y can be 2 or 1.

Thanks cjoy. Sry for the late response. So looks like 95% of the careless mistakes are DS. They are towards the beginning and the end of the test. Any tips on avoiding careless mistakes with DS? Also I have 2 weeks to go for my test. Wondering I should keep practicing new material or go and revise all the old questions and take 2 or 3 more tests. Thoughts? Thanks for your help
