  1. how about the job prospect for development economics field?
  2. just saw the slightlyconfused profile.. it is an amazing profile.. he already finished all core graduate courses with A grades..
  3. Bayesian Econometrics , I am using this book by garry koop. also geweke's contemporary bayesian econometrics and statics is more rigorous book
  4. obviously mankiw - macroeconomics romer is for advanced macro as name says.. its PHD level. mankiw is masters level
  5. getting ma is not help to reduce your time in US. but UK based countries like Auss or UK u can start PHD directly. but in US ,even if you have masters you have to take thier coursework before starting your PHD thesis..

  8. i don't think age is disadvantage its a great advantage.. I wonder how you guys skip two years of school education? in my country we cant skip regular school years.its prohibited ..no more double promotions in primary,secondary schools:(
  9. how do you get in to phd program in 20 years old?? so you entered your undergraduate program when you are 16 years old??
  10. if you are really interested in development economics why don't you take a look this program which is I am doing at the moment. Policy Analysis Program: Ph.D. Programs -- Prospective Students | GRIPS although its not in the US or UK , grips faculty is really good .. there are lot of highly published development economics professors are there..
  11. how about other top 5 school attrition rate? like harvard ,mit,yale ??
